Hi winsor,

Given free rein, I could correct the system in one fell swoop.

Explain?

PS) Ronald Reagan had 15 words solutions to every problem because he could not understand the problems.

Basically you decouple the litigation lottery and require a posted menu of services with prices.

I can go over 15 words if absolutely necessary.

Your article is just parroting what I said earlier in this thread, "The only people that are currently being helped by Obamacare, are the "free stuff from the Government" crowd".

We already have at least one county with NO coverage available through the Obamacare exchanges. I predict there will be many more to come, and that makes me sad.

And as I said earlier, what is your point?

Government funded healthcare is supposed to benefit those who can't afford private healthcare...
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

So people in that county are in the same boat they were in before Obamacare.

Not quite. Other health insurance, not through the ACA exhanges, now has to meet additional requirements that it didn't before.

True. Obviously there are two sides to that coin: the insurance is likely more expensive, but the insurance isn't totally shitty and useless.

Yes, a gay fifty year old can only buy health insurance that covers birth control, because the government knows what his needs are better than he does. [:/]

Except they were not required, under the penalty of imprisonment, to buy health insurance.

Prison?

If one does not pay the fine (for not buying insurance that is not available) one is subject to the same penalties as one who does not pay their taxes, which, yes does include prison.

Wrong. You can go to jail for evading taxes, or failing to file, but not for failing to pay. That would be debtor's prison. Even Obama doesn't do that. And it is not a fine. It is a tax. The SC said so.

Yep, you can be prosecuted if you don't pay your taxes. Did you sprain your back trying to twist that into "required under the penalty of imprisonment to buy health insurance?"

Next up - Brenthutch will demonstrate how Obama will jail you for refusing to kill your grandma.

> The one size fits all solution

That's called "insurance." You may never get lung cancer - but your insurance payments go towards paying for a woman who has metastatic lung cancer. She might never get prostate cancer, but she will pay to treat you when YOU get it.

You cannot decide "well, I'm not going to pay for anyone with lung cancer, because I don't smoke!" That's not how insurance works.

Except hat I was paying for Viagra long before Obamacare. And my company definitely didn't lean left. As Bill said, it's kinda the nature of insurance.
