I agree. Ford didn't pardon Nixon because it would set a precedent of prosecuting public officials "for actions carried out in the context of his official duties" (which wasn't the case with Nixon at all), Ford pardoned Nixon because he felt that prolonging the whole situation with a huge trial and all the accompanying crap would be worse than allowing Nixon to retire quietly.

There's a whole list of public officials in prison for misconduct. Rod Blagojavich of Illinois is one that comes to mind (4 of the last 7 governors of Illinois have been convicted and imprisoned).

Bowe Bergdahl was just a pawn...everyone KNEW he was a traitor. So we have a traitor as POTUS that is not only corrupt, but compromised...and a woman that is a serial liar, perjured herself multiple times at the Hearing whom is running for POTUS. Only the Dems, with their hands out, palms up, will support her. Perhaps this is why no military aircraft was called in…because the administration knew our enemies had Stingers.

You might try "fact checking" some of that.

The Stingers used in Afghanistan were leftover from the Soviet war (that's why it was a dud - it was 25 years old). And the Reagan admin (via the CIA, via the Pakistani ISI) never supplied arms directly to OBL. But people like to keep repeating that old lie.

There were zero Stingers in Lybia.
There were, however, something like 20,000 (yes, twenty thousand) Russian SAM-7s. Similar to a Stinger, shoulder fired, heat seeking, anti-aircraft missile.

Handy, easy to use and fairly cheap. Khadaffi used his oil money to buy a lot of them. They were scattered all over the country, and the rebels were capturing them on a regular basis. Some (nobody knows how many) ended up being taken out of the country by "Islamic Radicals."

Part of Stevens orders were to find and purchase as many as he could. The intent was to round up as many as possible to keep them off the "open market."

But, of course, this doesn't cast any aspersions on HRC, so the right wing refuses to believe it.

PGRs are cool, and he does not represent them, even if he is a member. I'm confused. Hearings were held, millions were spent trying to pin anything at all on HRC over Benghazi. Our next door neighbors are Iranians - an elderly couple and their middle aged son. She is getting senile; we occasionally will pick her up when we see her walking down the street and take her back. She's very nice and talks to us in Persian the whole ride back. Our kids ride their bikes up and down the (tiny) hill on the curb in front of their house all the time.

Their next door neighbors are Israeli. Nice folks but we don't see them that often.

Across from them is a Filipino family. They were gone for a while a year ago and we noticed water coming out from their garage door. Another neighbor ended up breaking in and finding a leaking hot water tank; he shut it down so it wouldn't ruin the rest of the house (although the garage was pretty wet.)

Down the street from him is a big Trump supporter with all the signs and bumper stickers and whatnot. He's getting solar put in and was recently around asking for an OK from all his neighbors.

I guess we just don't have enough anger in us to treat our neighbors like you do. Or perhaps we're just not Christian enough.

My hope is that Ron comes here as a place to let out some of his more evil feelings. And that he actually manages to treat his neighbours with courtesy in real life.
