Are you Americans crazy enough to put Donald Trump in office?

>Word in QAnon is that Flynn is cooperating in another investigation. That is why his
>hearing was delayed until March.

In the real world, he went into the hearing thinking he had it made. He had cooperated with Mueller a bit and he believed all the Qanon/FOX BS; he'd get a slap on the wrist, it was all a sham trial, everyone supported the Trump administration. He would expose the evil FBI who tricked him, and Trump would be vindicated.

Then the judge tore him a new one.

"I want to be frank with you, this crime is very serious. Not only did you lie to the FBI, you lied to senior officials in the incoming administration."

"I am not hiding my disgust, my disdain for your criminal offense . . . [your crime] undermines everything this flag over here stands for. Arguably, you sold your country out."

Then the judge started grilling him.

Did Flynn believe he was not guilty? "No, your honor."
Did he think he was entrapped by the FBI? "No, your honor."

At that point Flynn's lawyers realized he would be heading directly to jail. In desperation they asked for more time so he could cooperate with Mueller a little more to help lower his sentence. He REALLY wants to stay out of jail, and will apparently do anything to curry favor.

And then the judge recanted.

even the most democratic FEC commissioners has stated that Trump did nothing wrong. You guys are grasping at straws and falling all over yourselves and tangling up your nose rings

What is your explanation for why the criminal enterprise known as "Donald J. Trump Foundation" is being dissolved under court supervision? trump agreed to this. Which is a de facto admission of theft and fraud.

Or, it could mean that he is now POTUS and hasn't got time for it. I do remember his saying back at the beginning that he was divesting himself from at least some of his businesses.

Most people, including the Bush family(s), Obama, etc. view charitable foundations. As the tax deductible lawful mechanisms to fulfill philanthropic inclinations. Not as a "business" to unlawfully funnel tax deductible gifts, monies into personal possessions and profits.

Obamas Gave 22% of Their Income to Charity
https://www.philanthropy.com/article/Obamas-Gave-22-of-Their/195541

Below is from The Chronicle of Philanthropy a journal that publishes stories on how real charitable foundations are run. Like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, etc.

"President Obama and his wife, Michelle, gave nearly 22 percent of their income to charity in 2011, according to tax returns made public today.

The couple reported $789,674 in income and gave $172,130 to charity.

The largest gift was a $117,130 contribution to the Fisher House Foundation, a group that provides free or low-cost housing to military personnel and their families while they are receiving treatment at military medical centers. Mr. Obama has been giving the charity the after-tax proceeds of the sale of a children's book he wrote."

Needless to say:
NY AG's lawsuit against Trump foundation can proceed, judge says
https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/23/politics/trump-foundation-new-york-state-lawsuit/index.html
"The New York state attorney general's civil lawsuit against the Donald J. Trump Foundation, President Donald Trump and his three eldest children can proceed after a state court judge on Friday denied their motion to dismiss the case.
In her decision, Justice Saliann Scarpulla ruled that a sitting president can face a civil lawsuit in state court for actions not taken in his official capacity. That ruling puts Scarpulla in agreement with another recent ruling against Trump, a decision in the defamation lawsuit brought against him by Summer Zervos, a former contestant on "The Apprentice."

Hopefully some hard time in prison can rehabilitate trump, Jared, Ivanka and the rest of the trump criminal enterprise.

Not that you have heard any of this form your information sources

Trump’s list: 289 accomplishments in just 20 months, ‘relentless’ promise-keeping

Lol, the Washington Examiner.

They are the ones who take a list compiled and supplied by the White House and then write a puff piece around it without any fact checking or "journalism". Is that what you think is great reporting?

https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/donald-trump-washington-examiner-boast-tweet_us_5c2c71bae4b05c88b703eca0?ec_carp=853367714667409502

Wonder if Trump knew and figured his supporters would be too stupid to realize, or if he himself was too stupid to realize....

Nope. That is false.

Actually he did Bill. Sorry to point out that you love fake news which you do!

The judge came back and said that he had misunderstood the timeline and recanted the claim that he had made.

but you're Trump apocalyptic websites would never point that out and even if they did it wouldn't stop you from keeping the story going as long as you could.

>"Trump’s list: 289 accomplishments in just 20 months, ‘relentless’ promise-keeping":

Great summary of this from Daniel Dale:

==========
Great moments in media: Trump's team gives the Washington Examiner an "exclusive" list of 205 supposed "historic" accomplishments he will campaign on; the Examiner just publishes it in full; Trump tweets about it as if it came from the Examiner.
==========

And that's what passes for "objective reporting" for Trumpies. Copy a politician's claims to their website, have a few drinks, say "MAGA!", call it a night.

is this your way of ignoring the judges retraction that you claim didn't happen?

You're right about the retraction.

CNN on Dec 18: (A source which perhaps you'll accept today.)
Quote

At one point, Sullivan wrongly suggested Flynn had acted as an illegal agent of a foreign government while serving as national security adviser. "That undermines everything this flag over here stands for. Arguably, you sold your country out," Sullivan said. Later, the judge walked that comment back, acknowledging that Flynn's unregistered lobbying for the Turkish government ended in November 2016, while Flynn worked on the Trump campaign and transition and before they took the White House.

So yes the judge did revise / walk back / recant or whatever words one wants to use.
Not sure why billvon didn't acknowledge that about a major part of the quote. The judge did indeed 'tear Flynn a new one' as Bill suggested, but later admitted he had something about the time line off. Still, the condemnation of Flynn in general stands, and I guess he will go to jail.

Sorry, I often skip over RushMC's posts because they are so often content free.

Yes, he did walk the "traitor" part of his comments back. The rest of his comments he did not walk back.

But we all know CNN is Fake News, therefor that correction must never have happened.

Let's not forget that Trump received some 3 million FEWER votes than his opponent, and that in the 2018 midterms, the GOP received nearly 10 million FEWER votes than the Dems.

So while we have an lying con-man idiot in the White House and a GOP majority in the Senate, it does not necessarily indicate craziness on the part of the US electorate as a whole.

The 70 federal judge nominees were held back at the close of the 115th Congress. Now, they return to the WH for resubmission back to the Senate.
