Are you Americans crazy enough to put Donald Trump in office?

Yes, please bring them up. What did Obama do that was extremely similar to what Trump jst did in Helsinki?

Lurch, Great rant!

USA closing in on $20 trillion debt, with approx. $200 trillion in commitments (pensions, etc.) an "iceberg dead ahead". A fucking mutiny is in order to save the ship!

The Washington lobby swamp. The trump clan lead, pigs at the trough. The debt.

At a time of lowest unemployment, more debt and stimulus.

trump tribe, trump cult, like dems/republicans on steroids.

I'll clarify. As long as shitbag motherfucker militant groups like Hamas and Hezbollah exists, and exerts control over their regions, there will never be peace with Israel. Those groups exist solely for the goal of the destruction of Israel.

Hell, even the Hamas leader admitted himself that 50 out of the 62 (give or take) deaths in the border rioting, were Hamas operatives. Sounds to me like IDF snipers did a exceptional job.

And... even though Israel has a humanitarian side, they sent aid to Gaza. Hamas rejected the supplies.

This is what they deal with all the time. It's Hamas.

Watch Hezbollah. They're in the middle of something presently, even though Israel dealt them some serious setbacks in the airstrikes across Syria recently. It's the same old shit that crops up every few years.

I agree. Israel's hard line leaders in Likud. Don't help the situation.

See it had to happen, we agree on something.

******>There's shit that Obama did that's extremely similar to what Trump is doing

As usual.

1) He didn't do it
2) OK he did it but it's not that bad
3) Obama did it first

you got that defense down pat there Bill. You really think that makes any kind of difference? If you do fine. But it doesn't affect me in the least!

We have to cut billvon some slack. He is working in a high-stress job, lives in a sinking state, and is trying to monitor a dynamic internet forum. He has to maintain a mental file of standard responses or he would suffer a meltdown. I still have not had any luck trying to get him to see the difference between Social Security, a paid in entitlement, and welfare to illegal immigrants.

Illegal immigrants can't get welfare. Their CITIZEN children are eligible, like any other CITIZEN.

It's just a right wing myth to fire up a base that can't be bothered to fact check anything, and distract them from the $BILLIONS given in corporate welfare.

There's a huge difference, of course. They do share something in common, though - they are both socialist government entitlements.

BTW Ron you will love this. You know how you're always going on about "welfare for illegal immigrants taking money from Americans?" Well, Trump found a new way to do that.

(I have zero doubt you'll give him a pass on this and make some excuses for it.)

Trump’s migrant fiasco diverts millions from health programs

HHS is forced to prioritize migrant crisis over medical research and other goals.

By DAN DIAMOND 07/18/2018 05:04 AM EDT
AP

The health department has quietly dipped into tens of millions of dollars to pay for the consequences of President Donald Trump’s border policy, angering advocates who want the money spent on medical research, rural health programs and other priorities.

The Department of Health and Human Services has burned through at least $40 million in the past two months for the care and reunification of migrant children separated from their families at the border — with housing costs recently estimated at about $1.5 million per day.

The ballooning costs have also prompted officials to prepare to shift more than $200 million from other HHS accounts, even as the White House weighs a request for additional funding for the Department of Homeland Security — a politically explosive move almost certain to antagonize fiscal hawks in the run-up to the midterm elections.

"We have a public health emergency like Ebola, Zika, hurricanes — except this one is man-made," said Emily Holubowich, executive director of the Coalition for Health Funding, who says HHS should request emergency funding too. "We should not be taking discretionary funding away from programs that need it."

HHS didn't respond to questions about spending on the crisis.

Frustration over the lack of transparency and the slow pace of family reunifications spilled over as appropriators marked up a Labor-HHS-Education funding bill last week. Republicans joined Democrats to unanimously back penalties for the health department if it didn't detail its efforts to reunite families.

Isn't this a justification for the feasibility of building the wall and securing our border?

Or, to put it another way, if Obama had not made illegal entry viable we would not be dealing with this problem.

Wow, Obama (the Deporter in Chief when it suits the GOP) is now toblame for the illegal alien problem. He must have been very busy as a child and teenager to create the crisis in the 80s that Reagan dealt with.

You are thinking that in order to stop wasting money, we should build a $20 billion border wall that won't work?

That's some Trumpian logic there.

Illegal immigration was at its lowest level in a decade while Obama was president - a huge reduction from the sieve that GWB preferred.

Help me out. Wasn't Obama that put out the blanket call to Central America to come on up?

" Help me out. Wasn't Obama that put out the blanket call to Central America to come on up?"

I remember, and I remember the concern a lot of people had about it, as in "how can we do this?"

But he did it anyway.

Not that I expect too many people on this forum to acknowledge it.

He "put out a blanket call" (expanded a program) that allowed Central American refugees, primarily children, to enter Costa Rica. The ones that passed screening would then be allowed in to the US as refugees - legally.

So we have Obama, who reduced the number of illegal immigrants coming in and helped child refugees come in safely (and legally.)

Then we have Trump, who pulls kids from their parent's arms and puts them in cages - spending millions in taxpayer funds to do so.

You must be so proud.

I don't think you'd call this (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jul/26/central-american-refugees-costa-rica-obama-administration) a "blanket call" for anyone to "come on up". That was a very specific instance and consistent with what we've talked about before regarding the need to address the issue at the source, which is upheaval in Central and South America.

Pfft. When Obama expanded an already existing program, one that allowed kids with some pretty specific requirements to apply for asylum as refugees, that's a 'Blanket Call" for anyone to 'come on up.'

Don't you understand? ANYTHING Obama did was wrong.

NOTHING Trump does is wrong.

Something that jumps out at the end there is that despte the chaos and suffering I think his misguided policies caused in the world, on a personal level he seems a genuinely decent, caring guy.

Try and imagine Trump delivering a similarly heartfelt message of support for anyone that isn't himself and it just doesn't work...

For all Trump's inner circle, here's a song for the holidays (courtesy of Jimmy Springsteen)

You better watch out
You better not cry
You better not lie to the FBI
Robert Mueller’s comin’ to town
Robert Mueller’s comin’ to town
Robert Mueller’s comin’ to town

He’s making a list
Of naughty and nice
He’s gonna find out just who to indict
Robert Mueller’s comin’ to town
Robert Mueller’s comin’ to town
Robert Mueller’s comin’ to town

He sees your Russian meetings
He’s read all your emails
He knows that you tried to collude
It isn’t fake news, for goodness sake
(It isn’t fake news, for goodness sake)

You better watch out
You better not cry
You better not tweet that you knew Flynn lied
Robert Mueller’s comin to town
Robert Mueller’s comin to town
Robert Mueller’s comin to town

He was a decent guy who made the mistake of delegating decisions to the Cheney/Rumsfeld/Neo-Con clan. It was in the middle of his second term when he finally starting catching on, which led to the departure of Rumsfeld, and (less obvious) trimming of Cheney's power.

He did all that because he truly bought the "born again" bullshit about America being favoured by God and destined to be the guide of the world. He is another example of religion harming the world.
