2015 sets new record for warming

Recommended Posts

>January 2016 - hottest on record

Yeah, yeah. I bet by next year climate change "scientists" will be forced to admit that they are wrong and that Jan 2017 is really the hottest January on record. Honestly, you believe people who can lie like that?

In any case, temperatures hit 98 degrees here last Tuesday. And everyone was saying "oh, it's climate change, we are all going to die." But then it got cooler. Today it was cloudy and it only hit 68 degrees. You hear that, Al Gore? 68 is LESS than 98! Maybe you should learn some MATH before you open your big fat ugly mouth again!

Here is a good article on the measuring systems you are so happy with

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2016/02/17/how-not-to-measure-temperature-or-climate-change-96/

It's not one of his trusted websites. He won't even bother.

Not that his trusted websites would publish anything like that, ever, no matter how true it is.

Come on man. We've been though this. Glaciers and sea ice are retreating, CO2 levels are increasing. The facts are in. So can we please get on with arguing/discussing what and even if we should try to do something about it?

Please, make an effort to be relevant.

That's because these posts all have links to opinion pages. I get my science information from science pages. Do you ever read science pages?

Try reading here:

http://discovermagazine.com/tags/climate-change

It's not a scientific journal, it's Discovery magazine. Pop science, but science focused instead of politics focused like the stuff you post.

The last link I see from you is from wattsup. That is an opinion blog, not a science site.

I'll ask once more. Do you ever trouble yourself with reading science from science sites? Or are you happy to just get pseudo information from blogs with an agenda and post them here? Do you really feel you are triumphing somehow every time you find more of the junk to link to?

Really, you are not even in the game.

I was just there. It's a climate change denial blog run buy a guy who used to be a TV weatherman. That is the extent of his training. In other words, he is an entertainer. He likely found a way to cash in on BS and make money easier that doing TV.

Education and career

Watts assisted with the setup of a radio program for his high school in Indiana,[14] and later attended electrical engineering and meteorology classes at Purdue University, but did not graduate or receive a degree.[2][15] In 1978, Watts began his broadcasting career as an on-air meteorologist for WLFI-TV in Lafayette, Indiana.[3]

He joined KHSL-TV, a CBS affiliate based in Chico, California in 1987,[2][3] and founded a company named ItWorks the same year.[16] He stopped using his first name "Willard" to avoid confusion with NBC's Today weatherman Willard Scott.[3] In 2002, he left KHSL to focus on ITWorks full-time.[17] Watts has been the chief meteorologist for KPAY-AM, a Fox News affiliate based in Chico, California since 2004,[2] and the director and president of IntelliWeather Inc, a subsidiary of ItWorks,[16] since 2000.[citation needed]

Watts was a member of the Chico, California school board from 2002 to 2006.[18] In 2006, he was briefly a candidate for county supervisor, to represent Chico on the Butte County Board of Supervisors, but withdrew his candidacy due to family and workload concerns.[19]

It is not a science site, it's an agenda driven site. And is also not relevant. Not in the game. Dead enders who time has long ago passed by.

>It is not a science site, it's an agenda driven site.

But it's science-y! It looks like science but without all the troubling fact-checking, annoying peer review and all those nerdy, loser formulas. It has proven to be much easier to digest for people with predetermined political agendas.

And it has a certain truthiness about it. Rather like Trump's statements but not so entertaining.

Has that company that pays your salary cut back on the millions of tons of CO2 it admitted to spewing into the atmosphere each year?
