Capitalism vs. Socialism

I wonder how many here will catch the nugget of wisdom from Dave Ramsey.

Wisdom and Fox News should never be used in the same sentence.

While I'd accept a hot-tub party invite from their female news presenters, I'll give their "news" offering a pass.

In Ron's defense, those two posts (assuming that is what you were referring to) were only a minute or less apart, which suggests some sort of an unintended action like double clicking the mouse.

Seems that Volkswagon's fraudulent emissions results were only caught on account of vigilance by the evil EPA and environmentalists.

No wonder the GOP wants to eliminate the EPA. Definitely bad for profits.

Latest: "Volkswagen does not tolerate any kind of violation of laws whatsoever. It is and remains the top priority of the Board of Management to win back lost trust and to avert damage to our customers," the company said.

It's called capitalism.

You don't have to live here.

I see... so people who break the law while trying to get into the country can fuck off, but people who object to corporate bosses breaking the law can also fuck off?

Hmmm....
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

This is what the link took me to.

That is where it takes me if I click the Chicago tribune link.

Here's another link to the same story. The Tribune link doesn't seem stable unless you subscribe.

In the 2 examples above, it looks like the two "corporate bosses" were found guilty of ...breaking the law! I'm for that. ...and for Capitalism. Looks like the system is working. But, it's a big system and sometimes a corporate law breaker gets away with it. Just like sometimes folks who illegally enter or remain in the country get away with it.

The problem is that very, very few corporate executives face any sort of penalty or accountability for what the company does.
