It must be difficult. You have my sympathy. If you kill off the natural predators for mice, rats, ground squirrels, etc, you may end up with an infestation problem. It would be a lot smarter to learn to live with the wildlife in your area, and teach the kids that can be taught how to handle themselves. Randomly killing a rattlesnake that has done nothing to anyone is nothing to be proud of. Quite the opposite. You should be ashamed of yourself. But again, I do not like eating them. However, my grandmother LOVES pheasant so I hunted and gave them to her. Coyotes, dead on sight if I am armed. Same for feral cats.
