Anyone think it odd that someone who is argues that gun laws won't prevent shootings is also convinced that there should be laws against abortion.

How does one become argues?

By making a typo, now fixed.

(Improper paragraph structure)Ah. I see. I was just curious because of the typo tyrade you went on the other day.

(Sentence fragment)Something about rocks and glass houses and such. . . . . ( over and improper use of ellipses.):P

Over and what?

Ok Mr Two issue voter...

Try this solution on for size.

"How about we treat every young man who wants to buy a gun like every woman who wants to get an abortion — mandatory 48-hr waiting period, parental permission, a note from his doctor proving he understands what he's about to do, a video he has to watch about the effects of gun violence, an ultrasound wand up the ass (just because). Let's close down all but one gun shop in every state and make him travel hundreds of miles, take time off work, and stay overnight in a strange town to get a gun. Make him walk through a gauntlet of people holding photos of loved ones who were shot to death, people who call him a murderer and beg him not to buy a gun.
It makes more sense to do this with young men and guns than with women and health care, right? I mean, no woman getting an abortion has killed a room full of people in seconds, right?"

You might have a point if the intention of every male gun owner was to kill their own progeny...

The article title: "Planned Parenthood doctor appears to admit to partial-birth abortions"

Emphasis mine. Clever wording on Fox's part to avoid charge of libel/slander.

So how are those investigations into PP going so far? Still 0 for 1?

0 for 1?

More like 0 for 15 or 0 for 20.

There have been numerous investigations by a bunch of different states. Not to mention that idiotic circus called the "US House of Representatives."

All of them came up empty.

(not responding to you, just to the thread)

The outright "grants" of tax dollars are a fairly small part of PPH's funding, and aren't used for abortions. The bulk of the tax dollars that PPH receives are Medicaid fees for service, which are also not used for abortions. Those Medicaid users could seek Medicaid services elsewhere, but our taxes will be paying the same thing (except that the clients may not be able to find local services so might spend less). Roughly half of PPH funding comes from donations. There is probably 6x as much in donated funds as the total cost of doing abortions (although some donors may stipulate that their donations are not thusly used), and probably half of the cost of abortions is covered by fee for service. There will be no decrease in abortions by eliminating PPH as a Medicaid provider. In fact, there will likely be more unplanned pregnancies and subsequently more abortions.

Right, and then you can look at it like this . . . You make your salary, then by dumb luck, you hit a scratch off ticket that pays you 500 per month, the only stipulation is that you cannot use it for skydiving. But it all goes into your checking account . . . How do you separate it?

Simple. You take that same account and split it into two. (Most banks let you do this.) You get a debit card against the non-skydiving account and deposit all the money there. You use the debit card for non-skydiving expenses. If anyone asks, you have all the receipts and can prove you didn't use it for skydiving.

Anyone who runs a small business can show you how to do this.

You have two separate accounts.

Do you think large organizations like PP only have a single checking account? Do you understand that corporate accounting is a highly regulated and (especially in the case of PP) highly audited practice?

The point is, PPH gets much more from donations, and much more from individual (not Medicaid) fee for service, than it spends on abortions. The number of abortions at PPH will not decrease if all grants and Medicaid are eliminated.

Do you trust auditors to do their jobs correctly? Do you think that somehow a bunch of rabid abortion seeking angry women bent on selling baby parts for profit can hide all that from skilled independent CPA++ Auditors?
https://www.plannedparenthood.org/files/9813/9620/1188/FINAL_PPFA_FY13_audited_FS.pdf

end of sarcasm. You are truly obtuse to how things really work.

"There is a crime" (there is no evidence to support it through dozens of investigations)

"Then there here is a conspiracy." (there is no evidence to support that either)

"Then they must be spending the money anyway." (There are regular audits, also required by law, done by independent accounting agencies)

"Well they MUST be doing something wrong for the simple fact that this is what I BELIEVE....."

good luck with that, but most people are tired of listening to the ranting bullshit. And certainly not interested in seeing my tax dollars spent on it. If there was evidence, you would have found it by now. There is none found because there is none.

get over it already

Ho Lee FUCK - you reach for assumptions.
Do you even question ANYTHING that fits your view of the world?

Way to put that critical thinking foot forward first.

You don't dissapoint me in your response, though. Typical.

Wow.

He's actually entirely correct.

It's the same mindset that results in having Benghazi investigations over and over and over again. There MUST be some wrongdoing, because our biases require there to be some wrongdoing.

So you know how you've tried to make this as emotional as possible, with constant references to "baby parts?"

"Fact is PP is altering abortions to provide baby parts to sell"
"Changing the procedure to get baby parts (so you can sell them) is a felony"
"So selling baby parts is ok with you Ahhhhhh Ok"
"Are they [the US military] selling baby parts?"
"Fact is PP is altering abortions to provide baby parts to sell"
"Enforce the federal law against making profit selling baby parts and No federal tax dollars for Planned Parenthood"

Well, finally someone agrees with you. Congratulations on getting your meme out there.
