Planned Parenthood and the term "slippery slope" .

It's SC why would I tell anyone to shut up? Unless of course it was a personal attack on someone else. But even then I think it's a more " grow the heck up" type of thing.

As far as pming others again where did I tell anyone to go talk to so and so? I didn't.

You are trying to do the equivalent of making a waterfall turn around and go back upstream.

As far as they are concerned, they are the be all end all and what they think is what it is, we just haven't realized it yet.

We - they - we - they . . .

You can't tell someone who approves of killing babies, no matter what the age is, that they are morally corrupt, they simply cannot make the connection. It's like trying to explain retardation vs autism to a retarded child.

>Gotta call the unborn baby fetus to sell it to yourself huh..

I call it that because that's what it is. But that term isn't emotional enough for you - so you call it a baby, because that meets your political goals. Orwell would be proud.

Some suggestions if you have trouble getting enough outrage with the words "fetus" or "baby:"

beautiful unique snowflake
"that could be you"

>it is not up to the doctor - he's a consultant and a service provider only, not a
>decision maker. the 'decision' can only lie with the woman or those legally
>obligated to care for her

In most cases, yes. However, he has an obligation to do no harm - and thus will sometimes refuse to perform a procedure that will endanger the woman excessively. Outside that case, however, I agree with your sentiment above.

...But this is also about the ILLEGAL practice of selling human body parts.
That's against the law.

Correct. But the only people who were willing to break the law were the people who made the video.

The PP rep made it clear that selling was illegal.

In case you haven't figured it out, the entire video was a sham. An "agent provocateur" attempt to portray PP as law breaking, fetal tissue selling 'evil-doers'.

Yes selling is illegal so let's call it something different.
Sorry but it's selling. They don't donate, they want money for each "part" or "piece" they get and they want to get the most money they can.
Even to the point of changing procedures so they can even get more.
No matter how slowly you say oranges it never sounds like gullible.

>People also have opinions that when you reach a certain age you're no longer
>useful to society so those people should be assisted to die.

Yes, people have that opinion. The only person whose opinion should matter is the person whose body it is.

>Or if you want the dog and it gets pregnant you should be as to kill the puppies
>either as soon as they're born or how about half deliver them and then kill
>them? Should be ok with everyone.

Do I think it's OK? No. Does animal control do this on occasion to prevent overcrowding of shelters? Yes.

>But this is also about the ILLEGAL practice of selling human body parts.
>That's against the law.

It's not illegal. (That's a good thing; it is why you and your children don't have to worry about polio.) It's illegal to PROFIT from it - and Planned Parenthood didn't.

>So you don't have a problem with a pregnant woman drinking or smoking or
>doing drugs ?

I do. I also have a problem with abortion. I'd try to talk friends of mine out of doing all those things. But in the end it's their choice, not mine.

I accept that people have different views then I do and it has nothing to do with religion.
But this is SC and this is a forum to express them.

No offense intended.

You've been duped by a very carefully edited video.

Here's the parts of the video that you DIDN'T see:

=============
"This is not a new revenue stream the affiliates are looking at. This is a way to offer the patient the service that they want. Do good for the medical community."

"Our goal, like I said, is to give patients the option without impacting our bottom line. The messaging is this should not be seen as a new revenue stream, because that's not what it is."

"Affiliates are not looking to make money by doing this. They're looking to serve their patients and just make it not impact their bottom line."

Not religious but I have faith which is very different.

But on the thought that society finds is acceptable, that doesn't mean it is. And it's a group in society that does, I'm part of this society and I don't. Same as others.

I put the check in the mail.

A handshake is just as good as a contract.

I'll just put the tip in.

Sounds just the same to me.

ETA: trust me, I'm a police officer.

Trust me, I'm a doctor and smoking isn't bad for you.

+ + + + + +

Nicely stated.

(typically, when one is willing to support another when they are making a decision that one personally disagrees with - I think that's when we really achieve an appreciation of individualism.

it's a balance -
1 - coming up short would be to force another to carry to term
2 - overshooting would be to force people to pay for another's abortion)

The Supremes have ruled, it's an accepted procedure in our society.
Deal with it.

There are a number of things some of us will never agree on, doesn't make it wrong for someone else to chose to do those things you don't like.
We have to accept people for how they are, not how we want them to be.

There are plenty of things I don't like or agree with. I don't do those things.
