Rifle, 338 Lapua Mag. A muzzle brake made it powerful, but fun. Also, a Ruger #1 in 45-70 handloaded way up, within about 50 fps of a 458 Win Mag. That rattled my teeth pretty good.

Pistol: 500 S&W, Desert Eagle 50AE, 480 Ruger.
None of the pistols were a lot of fun to shoot. Impressive & powerful, but somewhat painful. The owner of the 500 Smith had a pair of gel palm gloves, with a piece of mouse pad cut to fit the palm area for extra padding. You had to make sure the pistol was centered in the web between the thumb and index finger or it would bruise.

One of the really fun "extra benefits" of volunteering as a Range Officer is when a shooter asks "Do you want to try this?" :)
Edit to add: Forgot about a 50 BMG bolt action rifle. But the rounds were handloads that were downloaded a fair amount. Big muzzle brake and light rounds made it pretty tame.

Largest caliber handgun - .45 ACP, .45 Long Colt

Largest caliber rifle - .44 mag. (not counting .54 cal black powder, maybe a musket rather than rifle, can't remember.)
Baddest rifle I've fired - .340 Weatherby Magnum.

Largest bore - 12 ga. slug.

1.5" pvc potato gun. (well, it is the largest and it is a firearm in some places)

Lots of shooting trap/skeet/sporting clays with 12 ga.

Bolt action .50 BMG, but then a rather abrupt drop off down to .30-30 and 5.56x45 in the rifle department. Also a whole bunch of .45 colt and, of course, .22lr

Nothing exciting with handguns... 9mm, .38 spc, and .22 lr

Have not fired a rocket to orbit yet.

Never heard of 7.62X54 being called NATO

To answer your question, that would be an RPG-7 and anything smaller in caliber the army could offer :)

..................................................................................

Sorry.
My bad.
7.62 x 54 mm is popular in former Communist countries, heck it was popular before communism was invented. The Tsarist Armies shot 7.6 x 54 by the millions of rounds. It is still widely used in light machine guns (PKM) and sniper rifles (Dragonyev).
