These poor migrants just want passage into the USA

What *I* would like to see is Churches take action and put their money where their mouth is, offer charity and assistance.. There are a lot of Churches with a LOT of money.. What I would like to see is all of these people who say "Let hem stay", without understanding that it is not sustainable, to help house the people. This is going to take a group effort, this is not going to be something the government or state can singularly fix.

I totally agree.

It is believed that BHO and the Liberal Democrats see a long term voter gain in allowing the illegals to flood the country and overburden the system resulting in more taxation and more socialism or government control.

We, the body of Christ in America, could turn the tables and use this situation to our advantage.

Let the churches pony up and provide the needs for these unfortunate folks. We could absorb them into the church and get them saved and sanctified. In so doing they would have solid results producing examples of effective conservative values.

Incidently, Michael Savage has been ranting against Glenn Beck and a Baptist Church in southern CA for getting involved. His position is that their problem is their country's problem, just ship them back ASAP.

I mainly see this as a fight for ratings and audience share.

Assistance to control violence does not mean sending them CASH aid. The US has a big problem with throwing CASH aid around without a game plan. We can offer police officer training, consulting, etc.. While this requires financial resources, it is not like a band aid of just handing out cash.
I am not a strategist, so I do not know HOW to help, I can only think of ways to help that are not a "band aid".

I do consider our border crisis to be a BIG problem, and we must take action. This is going to cost us some amount of money financially, but I do not believe in just handing them cash and say "fix it".

These countries obviously do not know how to fix it.

For the record, I am not a Christian, BUT I am personally charitable and donate to many causes.. I am not certain about where you live, but in my area Churches have been very generous to the homeless. This is without prejudice to their religion, they may be non Christian.
I donate to homeless shelters, and donate suits and clothing to the employability projects we have. Suits for interviews, that type of thing.
I find that when the government offers charity, or assistance, it seems to occasionally do more harm than good. In this situation, we need PEOPLE to take action. Like I said, I have no clue how to handle this perfectly, but I believe I have a few good ideas.
I am not conservative or liberal, I consider myself independent. I appreciate many of the concerns and causes that each side has.

I can tell you that I do not blame the children. These young children did not manifest the idea of coming to the US by themselves, they were taught how to do this. I would be more than willing to foster a young child in my own home, to offer my personal charity until they can return home.

I have a very special place for children, even though I have chosen not to become a biological parent.

I agree the only way to stop the immigration problem is to fix up the 'shit hole' country (not my words - see post #1).

Norway and Sweden consistently outrank the USA in quality of life and life expectancy, but you don't see American parents shipping their children there. That is because our country is safe enough to raise a family and enjoy a good standard of living.

Until we can make that statement about some of the Central American countries, we will have an immigration problem.
For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

***we can only hope he gets changed out for someone who can actually lead this country in a better direction.

Disclaimer: Hillary Clinton isn't remotely worthy to take that position of power.

OK - so who is? As of yet, the GOP haven't put up anyone even half way credible who would appeal to all americans, not just the male, white, conservative christian ones. (I'm making an assumption that, rightly or wrongly, any other parties outside the big two aren't likely to get a look in). I'm not a fan of Clinton particularly, but as of yet I haven't seen anyone who I think is any better.

And by "better direction" at least be honest and say "a direction more closely aligned with my political opinions".

Trey Gowdy, Alan West and Rand Paul are all credible. But its not election time yet so lets just see who gets vetted out when that time comes.

***OK, I;ll admit that was a reach but I have a lot of friends in south america and they tell me that the gang violence is getting really crazy there, maybe not genocidal but defiantly people are in fear of their safety and lives.

So what ever happened to governments in south america taking care of their own people? And furthermore, why is it the USA's responsibility to take care of these people?

Can't we ask that for all of the countries we're involved with? Why can't Iraq take care of their own people? Or any other country we had to invade to be their police in the last few decades?
Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)

I'd say after today Gov Rick Perry has made a big jump to the lead.

>So like I asked, what has materially changed for you since Obama destroyed the
>American system?

Obama has killed millions through his "death panels," grabbed everyone's guns and made all Christians gay-marry. He's cancelled Christmas and Easter. He's the reason gas is now $10 a gallon, and why you can no longer buy SUV's. He's also the reason that most of the country is now without power, why Bin Laden is still alive and attacking the US, and why the recession just keeps getting worse.

You'd have to be some kind of liberal to not see all that.

>So where are the riots?

All over. They are worse than the Watts riots. (For certain values of "worse.")

Of course. Fortunately we had Congress standing against his nefarious plans. Who can forget the night that Boehner took out Bin Laden, or the day that Michelle Bachmann destroyed the Death Panel with a single blow?

Why don't you see it?

see, what is not getting enough publicity is the true reality of the situation.

You mean that night when US SPECOPS launched against Bin Laden and BHO didn't find out about the op until someone told him on the golf course?

He found out like the rest of us, through mainstream media.:|

While you're at it you forgot to put all the blame on GWB and the koch brothers. Because every failure obama has...and there's plenty to choose from...are inevitably all their fault because democrats are unable to accept responsibilty for any failures. And that is a fact.

I'd disagree. All of those have some serious negative marks against them. But like you say, lets see who gets through primaries.

Explain to me how Trey Gowdy has 'serious' negative marks against him.

Actually that's a fair point, of the 3, he's the least controversial, and has done the least. His handling of the Benghazi hearing was grandstanding at its worst, but that's no worse than any other politician on either side of the aisle. Credible then? maybe. Presidential material? We'll see. He has the same criticism many on the right level at Obama in that he has no business experience, however I expect those same people will be curiously quiet in this case. He will also alienate a large proportion of the female vote with his "Pro Life +" beliefs.

So - I concede your point in that he MAY be a credible candidate. Time will tell.

Heh. It was kinda funny. Everyone else in the Situation Room is all dressed up and he's wearing a pair of Presidental sweats. With a scowl on his face.

They kept him out of the loop so he couldn't screw it up.

It would be so much funnier if it wasn't so plausible.[:/]

To get away from the obligatory Obama-bashing and back to the topic at hand:

I spent about 15 minutes looking for charities that directly help these kids. So far here's a list:

I just heard some even better news - Michelle Bachmann is considering running as well. Now where's Herman Cain?

I'm sure the republicans have no problem with a democratic president as long as republicans maintain control...I'm sure this was the initial agreement to begin with.

None of this really matters tho, they're all on the same side...

Either Heratio Cain, or Herman Munster would make better candidates.
