You know, just because most Christian don't follow the good book, all-you-can-eat buffets aren't anymore permissible to Christian either,

Proverbs 23:20-21

Be not among drunkards or among gluttonous eaters of meat, for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags.

Also,

1 Corinthians 3:16-17

Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.

So basically being a fat fuck is actually bigger sin in the Holy book then being Gay. Yet for some weird reason people only rage against the homos.
Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Well, this rogue Saudi cleric issued the fatwa against the buffet establishments ...not the "drunkards", "gluttonous eaters of meat", and late sleepers themselves. Sorta like Bloomberg's condemnation and banning of extra large sody pops and super-sizing at Mickey Dee's. OTOH, your references seem to lay this responsibility at the feet of the Christian fattys and layabouts, not the providers of food, drink, etc.

Secondly, quoting from the article:

"Fawzan said the value and quantity of the food sold should be pre-determined before hand.

'Whoever enters the buffet and eats for 10 or 50 riyals without deciding the quantity they will eat is violating Sharia (Islamic) law,' Fawzan was quoted on al-Atheer channel.
"

So, is al-Fawzan's fatwa intended to condemn the business, itself, or does it only condemn the price point of food that is eaten at all-you-can-eat buffets? IOW, does he imply that Sharia would allow gluttony if the eater predetermines that he is going to eat a larger quantity and that he will agree to pay correspondingly more for any food he eats that is valued above the 10-50 riyal (which, I'm guessing is the typical cost for these buffets in S.A.)?

Finally, what does a fatwa against all-you-can-eat buffets really mean in practice? Does this mean that followers of al-Fawzan simply must avoid these businesses because they have been condemned? What is their punishment if they don't obey? Or does it mean that these followers are compelled by Sharia to erase these establishments (and their patrons) from the page of time ...like Bloomberg did with baby formula from the hospitals or with trans-fats?
