kelpdiver 2 #227 March 19, 2014 Andy9o8 Quote No one is going to nominate Putin for the Nobel Peace Prize, either. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/vladimir-putin-nominated-for-nobel-peace-prize/ Doh! Ok, well I feel fairly confident he won't make the first cut. Bin laden was nominated too, right? Though I must say there is something compelling about the provided argument that he managed to seize a big chunk of a country with minimal bloodshed (the sniping killings in Kiev are still part of it). If Obama can win for merely proposing nonsense about no nukes, then this is nearly as valid a rationale. But I'm hoping to goes to the Afghan girl as it should have last year. kelpdiver 2 #228 March 19, 2014 NelyubinGuys, stop talking nonsense. You can read an English translation of Vladimir Putin’s March 4 press conference here [url]http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article37889.htm Why do you want to highlight Putin lies like: "Regarding the deployment of troops, the use of armed forces. So far, there is no need for it, but the possibility remains. I would like to say here that the military exercises we recently held had nothing to do with the events in Ukraine. This was pre-planned, but we did not disclose these plans, naturally, because this was a snap inspection of the forces’ combat readiness. We planned this a long time ago, the Defence Minister reported to me and I had the order ready to begin the exercise. As you may know, the exercises are over; I gave the order for the troops to return to their regular dislocations yesterday."

yoink 321 #233 March 20, 2014 Amazon I think this is the greatest thing that has happened in years. Perhaps now the Europeans will pull their heads out of the places they have had them stuck...for YEARS... and indeed realize where the real threat lies. Comrade Puddin the moobies man has shown the true face of his upbringing in Soviet Russia and his place in the CPSU and the KGB. The west had hoped he was a man they could deal with.... this shows he is not. In the long run Russia has cemented an adversarial relationship that will isolate it from the civilized world. Hang the fuck on. Why is this now Europe having to pull their head out of their ass? The US has been as happy as anyone to try and collaborate with the current Russian regime. You can't have it both ways.

We'd also be concerned if Putin was a dictator, but regardless of his beating up some people against him, Russia as a whole seems to be doing quite well compared to before the wall fell. I'm just not sure we have any moral grounds to stop him. And yet, eight years later; here we are.
SkyDekker 1,288 #235 March 22, 2022 Well that was an interesting read. Much of the same arguments. Also shows, to me anyways, that this doesn't end in Ukraine.
