That article doesn't have the full information. It's much more complicated then that. They don't actually know where all of the rods are located. Do some more research. It's not as simple as this article makes it out to be.

I was in the UK earlier this year and the racism there seems to be a little out of control. A number of times I heard things like "this trouble was because of the asians" and it just got me mad.

I don't think the overall cost of nuclear energy is the answer for a "cheap" alternative fuel. Placing the emergency generators to cool the reactors in the event of a power shutdown below sea level was not the brightest idea coming out of Japan.

With the majority of their food coming from the sea, I believe there is more trouble ahead, unfortunately.

Time will tell. It always does.
