Obama at the range

Regardless of the "skeeters" moaning about it, it was a mistake for The White House to release the photo, for exactly the reason you just illustrated. No good would ever be served.

The original pic might be a fake. Also, some people are not complying with the ban on photoshopping it.

Why on earth would you say it might be fake? Why would it need to be? Are you saying the President of the US doesn't have access to a shotgun and a real photo couldn't be taken? That's absurd. It might not be from the exact date, but this photo would be trivial to set up in reality, so why fake it?

I'm saying it might be fake. If it's not fake, it's probably staged. He wants to look good to the Elmer Fudd gun owners who have no interest in modern firearms.

So it could be fake because it says it was taken at Camp David on a day in which he was at Camp David?

I gotta be honest, it's not the best foundation for a conspiracy theory that I've ever seen, and conspiracy theories are usually pretty poor.

Plenty of tme to do a little skeet shooting, rest his shoulder then hit the links. Shoot a quick 9 then have a beer! If, the photo is in fact a 'fake' it's sure, a good fake. I don't think, that picture, splattered all over the papers, is going to help his gun bill... fake or not.

Curious, double barrel over/under but only one barrel has the extended choke. Typical skeet guns have the extended chokes so you can change frequently as the shots change, but in both barrels. Unless he just loads one shell at a time the original picture is not "right".

Ha, but taking a single shot to kill two crosing birds in skeet is not allowed. Can be done, and easy to do even by mistake but doesn't count when scoring. You would only score one hit out of possible two hits for taking one shot to hit both birds. Shooting sports are great and challenging.

As skydivers, we'd be thrilled if the President were to give skydiving a try, even if it were only for publicity purposes, and maybe even if it were just a faked shot (after all, the Queen faked her skydive :)).

But people are hell-bent on doing whatever they can to feel superior to this president, and others did the same thing with the last one.
