>Regardless, at least they aren't using the organization that the Obama admin uses to keep the GOP down.

You mean the "unfair" GOP primary process? Wasn't aware that Obama was in charge of that.

No - the IRS.

Or do you still deny that all happened?

800 page report from the Republicans was released today.

339 page Democratic report.

Failures are cited everywhere including at the Joint Chiefs, at local levels and at the State Department for not predicting that this could happen in a temporary installment.

Most interesting is that the largest criticism of Sec Clinton was that her name appears more than the ambassador's so it put that that she wanted to make this all about her.

WASHINGTON — Ending one of the longest, costliest and most bitterly partisan congressional investigations in history, the House Select Committee on Benghazi issued its final report on Tuesday, finding no new evidence of culpability or wrongdoing by Hillary Clinton in the 2012 attacks in Libya that left four Americans dead.

I guess the GOP will have to create a 9th** committee now. Taxpayers will foot the bill. Only $25M wasted so far.

** Edited to add: or is it 11. I've lost count.

I'm not really surprised, greatly disappointed yes. The Washington cartel is strong and does not represent Americans. Moral in the military is low because of these kind of actions, the social engineering experiments and the lack of protection. Our only hope at this stage is for Trump to be elected president. If lying, thieving, murdering Hillary makes to the Oval Office it is over. Actually, it may be over anyway.

I love it. If the report had slammed Hillary, you would have touted the hard work, dedication, and accuracy of the committee. Because it is a more moderate indictment, it must be flawed.

Confirmation bias in action.

Let's review -

The GOP started the Benghazi investigations to smear Clinton and drive down her poll numbers. They failed.

The GOP tried to repeal Obamacare. They failed.

The GOP then tried to use the courts to repeal Obamacare. They failed.

And now they have to deal with this:
===============================
Politico

Republicans’ Benghazi Witch Hunt Burns GOP Instead

If Trey Gowdy and his Republican colleagues thought they could land a decisive blow against Hillary Clinton’s presidential hopes they need to think again.

Republican members of a House committee investigating the Benghazi attacks finally released their conclusions on Tuesday. And at first glance, the 800-plus page report, two years in the making, looked like a big political misfire.

For starters, the report revealed few new significant details about the 2012 attacks on the U.S. diplomatic mission that claimed four American lives. And it offered no clear and direct evidence that laid the blame for the attacks at the feet of Hillary Clinton, then the Secretary of State and now the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

Trey Gowdy, the South Carolina lawmaker who had led the committee, had long insisted his was a fact-finding mission not an act of partisan combat. But that assertion was perhaps irreparably undermined when a senior Republican congressman, Kevin McCarthy, characterized the investigation as an effort to bring down Clinton’s poll numbers.

. . . .

Gowdy will now be under pressure to explain why his committee spent $7 million investigating an issue that, as Democrats are always first to note, had been reviewed by nine previous committees.
==============================

And of course they have to deal with a presidential candidate who is so embarrassing that prominent conservatives are condemning him.

Today is bad for some people, true - but it's not Obama and Clinton.

You quote politico?

Oh, never mind, it figures.

Anyway, you are again swayed by the media (Hillary's super PAC) again.

One thing in the report.
Hillary and Obama knew within the first minutes that this was a terror attack and not a reaction to a video.

Hillary purposefully and willing lied to the American public.

Nixon went down for less.

Facts and findings:
Here are the key "findings" from the Republican report:

The Defense Department, the Central Intelligence Agency and the State Department failed to understand the threats to U.S. personnel at the Benghazi consulate, and didn't adequately defend them.
It found there was a long delay after Defense Secretary Leon Panetta ordered forces to be deployed in response to the attack that meant they didn't arrive until 2 p.m. the next day.
Still, the report did not dispute the conclusion of prior reviews that United States military forces in Europe couldn't have reached Benghazi in time to rescue the four Americans who died. ""What was disturbing from the evidence the Committee found was that at the time of the final lethal attack at the Annex, no asset ordered deployed by the Secretary had even left the ground," the report stated.
The report found that some Americans were saved not by a quasi-government militia, as previous reports had found, but rather by a group of military officers from the Khaddafy regime, which had been toppled by the U.S. and others a year earlier. "Some of the very individuals the United States helped remove from power during the Libyan revolution were the only Libyans that came to the assistance of the United States on the night of the Benghazi attacks," the report said.
Hillary Clinton is referenced three times in the 187-page section on the attacks, 38 times in 177-page section on communications and then 86 times in the 135-page section on events beforehand.
The 800 page report contains just seven pages on "recommendations" — even though stopping a repeat of the attacks was said to be a key goal of the investigation. By contrast, the 9/11 report, which was a little over half the length, contained 62 pages of recommendations.

Your constant refusal of facts in evidence after years and millions wasted over "OMG! 4 people died" It's all her fault!"
While entirely dismissing the Bush's watch resulting in almost 10,000 deaths between 9/11 and the resulting wars of choice is flat out disgusting.
EVERY report says those 4 people could NOT have been saved.

OK, there's the horse. Have fun.

Whatever.

Yep, you have been claiming this for years. And yet there is nothing new in the report to substantiate that. It's time to face the facts, no matter how much they anger and depress you.

Ron started this thread almost four years ago. You have been posting on it that long, gleefully anticipating the investigation that would produce the "smoking gun" that proved she was a criminal.

Here it is, four years later. And after eight investigations, millions of taxpayer dollars spent, an admission from the GOP that the purpose was to smear Clinton, and thousands of posts on this thread alone - no smoking gun. The GOP gave it their best, most vengeful try - and they failed dismally. They shot their wad and they have nothing left.

Maybe you could go back to the "Obama was born in Kenya" thing. You might get some traction there; after all, Trump is still a birther.

Reports like these just make the public more skeptical of the BS in Washington and the impossibility of separating fact from political spin.

Why not a report from a retired CIA director. Oh, of course, that would miss the chance for political spin on the real facts.

You do realize this was a report authored by House Republicans; yes?

IF there was anything that would have blocked Hillary's career, it certainly would have showed up in this.

The report from ex-CIA director Petraeus was in the record, and was reported extensively outside his testimony to the committee as well.
