lawrocket 3 #1 May 11, 2012 I'm having a hard time with this. Those just don't look big enough to be lactating breasts on the mother, and the size of that kid at that age means that he's getting the vast majority of his nutrients from other sources. To me it would have been appropiate to have a 18mo-2yr old as the kid. Many mothers are feeding into that age again now and that is what has caused a stir.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." billvon 2,395 #3 May 11, 2012 I think it makes sense as a cover because a lot of people are going to have the reaction "that's WAY too old for him to be breastfeeding!" And that argument is what the article is about.

The first part of this comment also comes from a place of ignorance. Size has nothing to to with the amount of milk produced in a breast. The second comment is probably true. Older children nurse mainly for comfort, not nutrition, so the amount of time spent at the breast is minimal after the first year or so.lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB
 ryoder 1,381 #11 May 12, 2012 OK, I had to google for it: http://blog.zap2it.com/pop2it/2012/05/time-breastfeeding-cover-happy-mothers-day----if-youre-actually-mom-enough.html Lucky kid.
