And what might have been the reaction had Bush done this?

Not aimed at Obama as much as the media and the lefts double standard. Each can decide for themselves.

Obama Stumbles Over British vs. English Embassy

Quote

President Barack Obama seems to be confused a bit about the distinction between Great Britain and England, the Heritage Foundation’s Nile Gardiner observes in his blog at The Foundry.

The president stumbled while talking during a news conference Tuesday about Iranian protesters’ storming the British Embassy in Tehran. Obama referred to the diplomatic outpost as the “English embassy” in Iran rather than its correct name, the British Embassy.

A left winger would have made exactly the same post you did. The press would have written a few articles on it and moved on to the latest story about Kourtney Kardashian.

I think you know better

Hell, Bush was condemned for how he pronounced nuclear

Petty stuff really. Most people wouldn't know the difference and in common terms there isn't much of a difference.

Same as Holland and The Netherlands as far as I am concerned.

It is ALL petty
That is what the point is

But the side you are on politically determines how and how much stuff like this is reported

Same goes for the Obama lower than Carter poll

I did a google on it about an hour ago
And while there are many many links

I did not find many from the major news sources

It this had been Bush

It would be the top story for 3 weeks

Just like it was WHEN his numbers hit the lowest of his presidency

>I think you know better

I think you overestimate the press. They'll publish a few articles and move on, just as they published a few articles about Bush's claim that ticket counters would fly out of Ronald Reagan Airport. They won't publish much more than that because no one else really cares. The right wing blogosphere will go nuts, of course, just as the left wing blogosphere went nuts over Bush's gaffes.

>Hell, Bush was condemned for how he pronounced nuclear

Yes. And if Obama does it 20 more times he should be condemned as well.

Oh, please, cry me a river. After 3 years, it's probably time to lose this persecution complex you have about Bush. The guy has been long retired, even by Presidential standards. (Maybe that fear about being arrested is true, or maybe he just loves Texas living)

And sorry, I've yet to see a dictionary that endorses nu-clu-ar as a proper pronunciation. Though he did it so often, many people (myself included) found themselves doing it.

Meanwhile, aside from disgruntled Welsh and Scots, people use English and British interchangeably, just as we have America and the United States. (Lots of Latin Americans object to the first one).

In other news, Northern Ireland, Wales, and Scotland rioted...

Oh wait, only Islamists riot due to the social faux pas's of others...
