diablopilot 2 #27 October 28, 2011 QuoteYa know, I think that the people who picket outside of Planned Parenthood are at least as obnoxious as the OWS picketers. But they all have a right to do that; in a country that is defined, in part, by the opinions and attitudes of its people (USA), that's one way to see if there is a critical mass to sway public opinion. Sure they have a right to protest as stated in the first amendment, however they rights of an individual only go so far and tend to end when they stomp on the rights of others. They also must comply with laws existing for the protection and safety of the society that guaranty those same rights. See:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cox_v._New_Hampshire QuoteCivil liberties, as guaranteed by the Constitution, imply the existence of an organized society maintaining public order without which liberty itself would be lost in the excesses of unrestrained abuses. The authority of a municipality to impose regulations in order to assure the safety and convenience of the people in the use of public highways has never been regarded as inconsistent with civil liberties but rather as one of the means of safeguarding the good order upon which they ultimately depend. The control of travel on the streets of cities is the most familiar illustration of this recognition of social need. Where a restriction of the use of highways in that relation is designed to promote the public convenience in the interest of all, it cannot be disregarded by the attempted exercise of some civil right which in other circumstances would be entitled to protection. One would not be justified in ignoring the familiar red traffic light because he thought it his religious duty to disobey the municipal command or sought by that means to direct public attention to an announcement of his opinions.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

Clearly the sanitation group is non existent or not doing their job. Security is lackluster (stolen laptops, etc). The medical group might be busy taking care of the STDs, but figure they mostly diagnose and send onward. And for better or worse, they have no leadership thinking about strategy. If I were a cook, I'd be pissed too.
lawrocket 3 #31 October 29, 2011 Weird. They released their financials. They've brought in $500k and have only spent $50k of it. But apparently none of it on food. My wife is hotter than your wife.

CanuckInUSA 0 #35 October 30, 2011 Quote They're expensive too! Have you priced 'tater chips lately? Non partisans know that Big Labor is behind this whole "Occupy" craze. There is no way these squatters who historically spend half their day being indoctrinated by academics and spend the other half of their day in their parent's basements playing their XBox have the money to sustain themselves in their city park camps complete with wireless routers to tell the world what great socialist revolutionaries they are with their beloved Apple products. No Big Labor is footing the bill. I just wonder how long it will take for the price of the $4 Big Mac to turn into the $50 Big Lenin? Or will the Big Lenin be free since the entire message is "make everything free ... free housing, free food, free drugs and yes free iPhones, free iPads ... gimme gimme gimme ... my teachers all told me life would be easy once Karl Marx was recognized as God" Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
