However, I suspect Marc's point was that Democrats are weasly, flip-flopping liars and will say anything to make themselves look good. I only agree with that point if you change the word "Democrats" to "politicians".

Is there some other, more sublime point that you could educate me about?

That would certainly be a start, there are quite a few in this country and across the world who think only of their own profit at the demise of others.

That would be virtually everyone in business, as far as I can tell.

I'm assuming you mean expense, and not demise -- most businesses really aren't willing to kill. But business is about making profit, and if you look at the internet bubble, Enron, and the recent mortgage crisis, it should be pretty clear that few biggies give a shit about anything but their own profits.

There are many, many decent people out there. It doesn't take a lot of leaders with doubtful morals and a shitload of money to mess it up for a whole lot of others.

I don't post much on here (very, very rare as a matter of fact,) but I sure do read of lot. I have downtime in my job that allows me to play around on the web, and find myself coming to dz only to read.

I completely agree with you on your take on politicians, both sides of the aisle, but what escapes my mind is even the slightest acknowledgement of the op's initial point.

This thread is not about who was at fault in 2008 or today, but rather that the current POTUS has shown to be hypocritical at times when dealing with any matter anyone can construe him at fault.

I know highly educated people who cant change the lead in a mechanical pencil. And they have successful careers
Conversely, I know people who never graduated high school who can take pile of metal and turn it into a complex machine and have very successful businesses.
