Muslim Busted Playing Beaner

Recommended Posts

SAN DIEGO -- U.S. border authorities have arrested a controversial Muslim cleric who was deported from Canada to Tunisia three years ago and was caught earlier this month trying to sneak into California inside the trunk of a BMW, according to court documents. Said Jaziri, the former Imam of a Muslim congregation in Montreal, was hidden inside a car driven by a San Diego-area man who was pulled over by U.S. Border Patrol agents...east of San Diego. Jaziri allegedly paid a Tijuana-based smuggling group $5,000 to get him across the border...saying he wanted to be taken to a "safe place anywhere in the U.S." The arrest marks the unexpected resurfacing of the 43-year-old cleric, whose protracted legal battle to avoid deportation drew headlines in Canada. A Tunisian...Jaziri was deported for failing to disclose a criminal conviction in France while applying for refugee status...

Jaziri is being held as a material witness in the criminal case against the BMW’s driver, Kenneth Robert Lawler, who has been charged with immigrant smuggling...His bond has been set at $25,000.

According to the court documents, a Mexican foot guide led Jaziri and a Mexican immigrant over the fence near Tecate and he trekked overnight through the rugged back country, to a road where drivers frequently pick up immigrants for smuggling runs into San Diego....

Border Patrol agents, alerted by firefighters who saw the immigrants get in the trunk, pulled the car over near the Golden Acorn Casino, about 50 miles east of San Diego. He told agents that his journey to the border had been a long one. He took a flight from Africa to Europe, then to Central America and Chetumal, Mexico, on the Mexico-Belize border, where he took a bus to Tijuana.

This is awesome!

We had a reduction of random Muslim bashing posts for some reason lately, but it looks like we have a brand new poster to pick up where others stopped (or were made to stop).

Quite fortuitous really.

Did you post this for discussion too?

Now, now just because a person has the exact same typing pattern as another user doesn't necessarily mean he's the same user that got banned and it's certainly no excuse to call him a name (scum) even if he is the same user.

Then again, if it IS the same user, I'd say it's a pretty dishonorable thing to do to try to get around bans and not likely to foster any sympathy from the Mods either.

Typing patterns are a bit of a side hobby of mine. I think it's interesting to see which typing errors some people make over and over again (I personally have a couple that are dead giveaways). It's almost like listening to the "fist" of somebody's Morse code. It gets to the point where you can recognize people just by the how often they mis-punctuate certain things.

Well, since we can all agree that he wasn't referencing Biggby Coffee, then yes it's slang for Mexican. Having picked up a disturbing amount of info on anti Hispanic racism and inter Hispanic racism, I think the term was actually used against Mexicans by other Hispanics first. See frijoleros. Mexicans are generally seen as the bottom of the totem pole, kind of like Palestinians on the Arab totem pole. You could compare it to buey/guey (sounds like "way"). Say it to a Mexican, and it's almost like calling him dude. Say it to a south or central American or Hispanic Carib and you can expect a very pissed off response.

Folks disagree on just how offensive it really is. I think it's comparable to calling a frenchman a frog.

Never heard of the guy. However, from the OP I don't really see what him being a Muslim has to do with anything. According to the Op he was deported from Canada for lying on his refugee application. Just another story about an illegal immigrant he could have been of any or no faith whatsoever.

I have to admit I'v not heard of the term "playing beaner" before. As I understand it, it seems to be a derogatory racist term for a person from Mexico. So I am guessing that the OP means to cross the Mexican-USA border illegally.

I thought it was a derivative of 'flicking the bean' and the guy was caught 'choking the chicken' contrary to sharia law. I was curious if that was actually against sharia law.

This story is mildly interesting. Why is this guy news? Why did he want back so badly? Where did he get the money? What was he up to?

And why is Beaner an insult to Mexicans? In this context, it seems to be an insult only directed to illegal border crossers. Do we have to be polite to the ones that are entering the country illegally? Are we afraid to hurt the feelings of criminals? Surely we should go down to the jail and pay our respects to the rapists and murderers there?
I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet..

But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

He's not just any muslim, he's a radical fundamentalist muslim... you know, the kind that wants to install sharia law and banish homosexuals.

Quote:
"Jaziri was deported for failing to disclose a criminal conviction in France while applying for refugee status in the mid-1990s.

But Jaziri's supporters said he was targeted for his fundamentalist views: He backed Sharia law for Canadian Muslims and led protests over the publication of the Prophet Mohammed cartoons in a Danish newspaper in 2006.

In Quebec's large Muslim community, Jaziri stood out for his outspoken views, and though his mosque was small, he drew outsized media attention for his strict interpretation of the Koran. Jaziri labeled homosexuality a sin and pushed for government subsidies to build a large mosque for Montreal's growing Muslim population.

"His nickname in Quebec was the controversial imam," said Lise Garon...
Sort of like these guys:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1350945/Horrific-video-emerges-Taliban-fighters-stoning-couple-death-adultery.html
So, the fact that he was caught sneaking back into the country, is an indicator that this is a very real source of entry for radical muslims who want to commit terrorist acts against America. It shows that this is a very real threat, and not one to be dismissed lightly. THAT is what this discussion should really be all about, instead of getting sidetracked because of the use of the word "beaner".

Or that televangelists might be trying to sneak into the US. His stands aren't even as extremist as Jerry Falwell's* - and Jerry Falwell has had far more trouble with the law than this guy.

You're still off-track. It's not about this particular imam, or any particular televangelist. It's about how porous the border is, and how the lack of security there can be used by terrorists to enter the country and do us harm.

Actually, the use of epithets here is poorly done.

I have had some experience with that on here. :$

I agree; it could be. History has shown, though, that the terrorists who actually DO cause us harm enter via different methods. For example, if you wanted to stop the 9/11 attacks, you would have had to beef up security and background verification at these "border crossing" locations:

Newark airport
Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport
Miami airport
John F Kennedy airport
Los Angeles airport
Dulles airport

Adding security to the border would have done jack shit to stop 9/11. So if you are deciding where to spend scarce dollars, spending them on a route of entry that people have actually used to attack us seems like a better choice.

I don't recall Jerry Falwell ever supporting suicide bombings.

Well, you just did - it was inevitalbe, he is quite a shit stirrer. While in Tunisia, he was convicted to 3 months for his participation in an illegal organiztion called Eh-Nahada. This group is attributed with the burning of the coordinating commitee for the Democratic Constitutional Rally in Tunisia causing one injury and one death.

Quote

Correct, apparently he is prone to deportartion. While living in France he was convicted to 18 months for complicity in causing bodily injury and damage to property and sent back to Tunisia.

He then returned to France illegally but was caught and sentenced to 8 months...

LMAO, seems like history has repeated itself...poor guy can't catch a break.:D

He was then arrested in Brussels trying to catch a plane to Montreal with a fake passport. He then tried it again in London where he succeeded and settled in Montreal as a refugee...I mean damn, you gotta admire this guys persistence and determination.:D

He was then deported for failing to disclose his idiotic past to the canadian authorities. I would suspect he drew too much attention for advocating Sharia Law and protesting cartoons.[:/]

He says he wanted to come to a safe place anywhere in the U.S. Well, my advice would be for him to stop acting like an idiot in the countries that are willing to host this sorry ass.

This gives me an idea. Maybe if we start saying that christians are crossing our border illegally and stealing our jobs, the liberals would strengthen their stance against illegal immigration...

Or better yet, we can say the Catholics are invading the country and stealling our jobs, then it would be a predominently bi-partisan effort!:)
