POLL: Dislike of healthcare law crosses party lines, 1 in 4 Dems want repeal

Quote

Healthcare reform is hurting the reelection chances of freshman Democrats in the House, according to The Hill/ANGA poll.

A majority of voters in key battleground districts favor repeal of the legislative overhaul Congress passed this year.

President Obama predicted in the spring that the new law would become popular as people learned more about it. But the poll shows Republicans strongly oppose it, independents are wary of it and a surprising number of Democrats also want it overturned.
snip...

So what does everyone think? Does the new Health Care Law go too far, not far enough, the complete wrong way? Is it really any different from what the US has been doing for years?

In San Fran, we already pay some of the highest sales, occupancy, "health," (insert any tax here) tax.

When a crackhead, heroine junkie, etc gets dropped off at SF general, the hospital stores any drugs the junkie (typically homeless) was holding in a "safe" of sorts. they get treated, held for 2 days if suicidal, and released WITH the drugs they came in with + 10 clean syringes + vouchers for 7-10 nights in cheap hotel/motels in the area.

edit: The junkies/homeless know the rules of the hospital and become regulars to get these services.

That is SF's version of fair health care paid for by yours truly. My guess is similar sh*t will happen around the country and i don't want any decent citizen having to pay for it. 30 million peoples' health care? come on.

Yes health care needs reform, but this legislation that is so incredibly HUGE was passed in such a forceful and bias manner it scares the sh*t out of me.

take a guy with virtually no experience in executive leadership and elect him president. past performance is the biggest predictor of future performance. he had a bad habit of voting present. that habit eroded into a not present vote. incompetent , inept , inexperienced, don't believe me ?

I bet you voted for GW... didn't you.

Talk about past performance.... he never saw a company or a country he could not run into the ground but the dumb fuck still sort of got elected... although it did take a little help from the Republican Supreme Court and Diebold to help out with that.

Nope - but I was having fun with her memory.
Evidently, she is willing to believe that 12 years ago, Bush was the cause of all the worlds problems.

Just proving a point.

I believe that according to the UCMJ, it is illegal to commit adultry.

As CIC, does he not have to abide by the rules that he is supposed to enforce?

We sould have a VERY small force if they decided to do that, based on even the mildest things some people call adultery. I doubt if ANYONE would be left if it was up to the likes of the looniest of the rePUBIClowns, Senate candidate O' Donnel of Delaware... based on what she considers adultery.

Considers?

The standard definition is fine.

As I remember, what I thought it was and wahat it is were different. I have since let go of what I think it means and use the definition from the dictionary.

The scary part for me is the rationing of care, the reach into business, especially small business, the extensive paperwork and accounting for normal business transactions i.e. requiring 1099's issued for all suppliers over $600, government access to bank accounts, individual and business.

We have two general elections to correct this socialistic catastrophe and to stop cap and trade.
Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.

Just another case where the honest have to do a lot of extra work, to cut down on the dishonest ripping off the government for taxes.

The rationing of care by the government doesn't scare me any more than the rationing of care by insurance companies does.

If you have money, you can get whatever care you'd like.

Right now the insurance company death panels need to be taken out and thrown down a very steep cliff guaranteed to fuck them up... no not killed... just nicely fucked up... and subject them to the same crap they subject the people they have been ripping off and getting bonuses for denying claims to people. Hey you fell down a cliff???.... I think that is a pre-existing condition.>:(>:(
