What IS the deal with the Tea Party and signs?

If the Democratic Party actually had the stones to play the game hard, they'd be planting idiot signs at every Tea Party rally.

...instead of planting idiot candidates who believe mice have human brains. ;)

As opposed to ones that think Guam will tip over?

Neither side of the aisle is at a loss for shining examples of idiocy. I will say though, the Tea Party seems to embrace it as policy.

I wonder if they bought that Toyota in order to come to the "aide" of their country's economy?

Toyota has made 15 million cars right here in America. I'm guessing that this probably requires the employment of a lot of Americans.

Well, technically north Americans, but specifically in the case of the Toyota Rav4 . . . Canada.

So, that's not helping US at all.

I saw a panhandler at the street corner in Atlanta the other day. His sign said "I am doing this so I won't have to steal" His sign was not the cardboard /crayon variety, it was well a well made, perfectly lettered, puntuated sign. Did this make him a better or smarter panhandler? Hope I did not mis-spell anything here. :)

Spelling is not nearly as important as whether or not you copy and paste anything to Quade.

Neither side of the issue between Muslims and Americans are at a loss for shining examples of violence.
I will say though, the Muslims seem to embrace it as a policy.

See any problem with this kind of statement?

This goes right back to my message #10, point #2. I guess it's okay for YOU to brand an entire group of people as stupid because of the actions of a few. But it's not okay for conservatives to do the same thing. The hypocrisy and double-standard you have here is thick.

Of course not. No parts are made in America and assembled at the Canadian plant.
No car dealers, salesmen, auto mechanics, or tire stores benefit from the sale of
Canadian-made cars sold in America.
Conservatives are hypocritical and un-American for purchasing non-US cars.
And when liberals buy non-US cars, it's simply because they're made better.
Right.

You need us, just as much as we need you. The US/Canadian economies are linked. We depend on each other. Eliminate one and the other suffers big time. It is time America realized just how much of Canada's raw resources that it consumes.

There is a lot that is wrong with Republican politics. But one area where Republicans do things right is being reasonably honest when it comes to trade. Both Republicans and Democrats know how important Canada's raw resources are to the USA. But Republicans don't try to obfuscate the importance of this trade. Democrats are the ultimate hypocrites when it comes to trade. Democrats scream protectionist rhetoric to their lemmings. But internally Democrats know they would be committing economic suicide if they actually went through with all of their bullshit. Take Nancy Pelosi as an example. A few weeks ago she is screaming how horrible the Alberta/Saskatchewan Oil Sands are, yet when she comes up here to meet our leaders, it is business as usual. Pelosi is only trying to win votes in socialist San Francisco. Face it Nancy, you know you need our resources and while we may not be the cleanest people on this planet, the Oil Sands only emits a fraction of the green house gases than the US coal industry does. How about telling the truth to your lemmings for a change Nancy?

It is time that people on both sides of the border realize how dependent we are on trade with each other. Socially I can never see us merging, but we must continue our long strong historic trade with each other and avoid all of the protectionist rhetoric.

Disagree. It's time we move the US border a few miles north. ;)

You have the military to do it. The US has proven to the world that they are 2nd to none when it comes to invading countries. But they really suck when it comes to occupying them. However if the USA ever wanted to end this horrible occupation streak of theirs all they need to do is look north. Huge segments of the population have voluntarily disarmed themselves and those who are armed, tend to not hate the USA.

Socially I can't see a merger ever happening. But we supposedly have been economically linked for a while now. Unfortunately not everyone is knowledgeable and/or willing to accept these close economic ties.

BTW I am sure Washington DC would never let this happen, but there is no shortage of people from Alberta, Saskatchewan, interior BC, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Washington State who would love to leave Canada and the USA and form their own union.

Would make sense. Also a great way to make sure nobody is noticing the country is collapsing at the same time.

Rome did pretty much the same thing.

I'm all for it!

INVADE!

2nd to none at invading? You might want to check the world history books again.

Unless you meant 2nd to none in ability, then you MIGHT be right, but China has us there too I think.

I am just going on precedence. The US has a history of invading. China for the most part keeps it's military within it's borders. But China has already invaded Canada. My community is dominated by the Chinese (walk around my local grocery store and 10 of 20 people are Chinese, about 6-7 of 20 are caucasian and the remaining 3-4 of 20 are some other race). China has the numbers ...

Actually I think it's more an indication that those protesters are so fucking lazy that they can't be bothered to check. It takes almost zero intelligence to operate a spellchecker, so the "who's smarter" game doesn't even enter into it.

Hahaha... while the word "aide" is misused, it is not misspelled. What would you expect the spellchecker to have done??? Lack of intelligence?? Guess you thought that through about as thoroughly as they did, or was it a lack of effort?

Now, now . . . you're still missing another glaring error.

What else except the *COUNTRYI* ???

And *We the People*???

Now when us Canadians start paying taxes to the IRS, are we US Citizens, resident aliens, non-resident aliens, or part of this magical fourth group you invented?

It depends on if you are a hyphenated canadian or not.

I already gave you a huge clue in the last response. Actually, more than a clue; I gave you the actual answer. I'm almost shocked nobody in the thread seems to have caught it.

"Now is the time, now, for all good men to come to the aide of their country!"

There is nothing GLARING as you say, unless you want to over dramatize a mis used, or omiited comma.
