ISAIAH 41:31

Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength, they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.

Thank you both for the efforts!

My memory is awful, and they were paraphrasing, but this doesn't sound like what I am looking for?

Wish I had a better handle on it.

Any other thoughts are appreciated; you are welcome to take some liberty if it helps with another idea.

Again, thanks for the help, your efforts are appreciated.

Best,
Dru

Maybe these were the verses you were looking for:

Deuteronomy 32:11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31.

If not, here's a bunch of "eagle" verses:

Gale,

U've opened my eyes to the possibility that I'm not really that close to having any idea what I'm looking for! Foolishly didn't think there would be that many possibilities?

28-31 does seem close though seeing the whole passage.

Gonna have to go back to the drawing board, and rethink my strategy.

Thanks, I really do appreciate the help.

Best,
Dru

>Michael Crawford has a great recording of "On Eagle's Wings" on the
>album "Michael Crawford in Concert".

Eve Selis has a good one too, entitled "Like an Eagle:"

===============
I stood by the window watching the runway
till i saw your plane leave the ground
I already missed you i felt a little lonely
as you disappeared into the clouds
I said a prayer out loud

You're like an angel like an eagle
I know i have to let you fly
where the world is just a small thing
when you see it from so high

May you breathe in all the freedom you find dancing in the air
If i could give you anything at all I'd give you everywhere
Like an angel like an eagle

You need a big sky to find your own answers
and only you will know when it's right
with the courage of a dreamer and the spirit of a wild heart
drinking from the great big cup of life
so beautiful in flight

I'll be right here waiting when
all you need is home again

and the world is just a
small thing when you see it from so high
================

Here is another possibility. Might take some exegetical mastery to transform it into a greeting for a gift.

Revelation 12:13-15 (New American Standard Bible)

13And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child.

14But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.

15And the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood.
Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.
