That's...you...I mean....I ahh...Whoa. The bringing of navel law and dreamdancer together? Fuck you should try teaching Rhys physics or Lucky the definition of Ad hominem.

Actually my comment wasn't directed towards dreamdancer (who clearly is beyond help there), I was replying to a post of Billvon - who also seems to have trouble understanding the current rules @ sea.

He being a greeny in this international forum and all one would hope for some advanced reasoning...

one would hope that your reasoning can evolve to a point where you can see murder as murder no matter that one side is wearing a uniform.

amazon keeps trying to beat me with the YOUR country thing - just having a little go back :)

BIG KNIFE

Perhaps if you EVER put anything negative out about YOUR idyllic socialist nanny police state instead of the regurgisphere racist crap about the US or ISRAEL you might have a leg to stand on. All you ever come up with are far fringe leftist bullshit threads you took from things like ALTERNUTREALITY.COM or some of the cother commie rags in the UK to bludgeon us with their stupidity

israel is nothing to do with you - stick to comments about your OWN country please ;)

(if anyone criticise the us - they're racist in your opinion and you're happy to describe them as racist on an open forum even though that should be a pa)

Ah but you see Israel does mean something to me since I have friends from there and they have had to endure the enmity of the world as do the rest of their countrymen all of their lives, They have had to learn to live with the all too real daily threat of their peaceloving neighbors trying to kill them just because they are jewish... So why would you post these threads ad nauseum....is it your hatred of those people who kicked your butts out in the 1940's.? I mean I can almost understand why it has so much bearing to so many of your LOT. Interesting to know that good old British anti-semitism is so alive and well....[:/]

SO....it does seem to live in a rather black and white delineated DREAMWORLD like the other thread you started. How's that whole treatment of your minotrities in the UK working for you.

It does take two parties to make peace.... As I have said before.. Israel tried the unilateral withdrawal from GAZA... they left behind the settlements they had built..... and exited ( even dragging out the hard core types who felt Sharon was a traitor and had sold them out)

But those who wished for peace have seen how the Palistinians have reacted with a permanent rain of rockets into Israel.[:/][:/]

when israel puts a fair peace plan on the table then everyone can move forward. the blockade of gaza must stop. it has failed. remember that in its early days israel was a supporter of hamas (as a counter to the plo). they can be friends again.

We lose.

From the headlines and stories here (United Arab Emirates), the position of Isreal and the US have been significantly undermined. The papers are reporting that Turkey is investigating the possibility of bringing charges. Sweden dock workers are boycotting Isreali goods/ships. Paris, Dublin, London, all over Canada, New Zealand, Istanbul. All protesting Isreal and the US.

You can tell me the papers are biased, and only reporting one side of the story. I know that. However, you cannot deny that there are a lot of people angry over the way Isreal handled this situation. We can debate here about whether they were right or wrong, justified or not. I wonder if you still think that matters.

Isreal is more isolated. The US/Isreal more vilified in the eyes of muslims.

If the goal is peace, we lose. If the goal was to keep the blockade, Isreal lost this battle, in that war. If the goal of the US was to make our country a safer place by repairing damage from the past, we lose. I have come round to your thinking, that the Isreali soldiers were justified in their actions. I continue to think this was a victory for the opponents of Isreal, and that peace has moved further away.

Say what you mean. Do what you say.

Israel has rallied domestic opinion on the crucial claim that its soldiers dropped into a meticulously planned riot for which they were completely unprepared. Panicked, they acted in self-defence after they landed, shooting only those who threatened them.

The video is problematic, though. The images of angry protesters are striking, but they lack context. What happened before? What happened next? Had the soldiers started shooting when they descended to the deck? The only account offered by the Israelis of what happened next is left to Staff Sergeant S, a commando who claims he shot six of the protesters.

The last of 15 to arrive on the deck, he said he saw that two of his colleagues had gunshot wounds. Pushing others into a protective cordon around the injured soldiers, he shot at the protesters to force them to fall back. It's a neat account, but several eyewitness accounts tell a very different story.

Mr Elshayyal, a reporter for the Arab channel al-Jazeera, was standing to one side of the ship and had a view of the front and back of the vessel when the fighting started. By his account, soldiers fired down on the protesters from the helicopters before an Israeli soldier had even set foot on the ship. A man next to him was shot through the top of his head, dying instantly.

"What I saw were shots being fired from the helicopter above and moments later from below - from the ships," Mr Elshayyal said. "As far as I am concerned, it's a lie to say they only started shooting on deck."

At least two other eyewitnesses saw soldiers firing from above the ships before they landed on the Marmara's deck. It is possible that this is what prompted the fierce resistance to the soldiers when they dropped down.

A group of top Israel Navy reserves officers on Sunday publicly called on Israel to allow an external probe into its commando raid of a Gaza-bound humanitarian aid flotilla last week, which left nine people dead and several more wounded.

In a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi, the Navy officers denounced the commando raid as having "ended in tragedy both at the military and diplomatic levels."

"We disagree with the widespread claims that this was the result of an intelligence rift," said the officers. "In addition, we do not accept claims that this was a 'public relations failure' and we think that the plan was doomed to failure from the beginning."

"First and foremost, we protest the fact that responsibility for the tragic results was immediately thrust onto the organizers of the flotilla," wrote the officers. "This demonstrates contempt for the responsibility that belongs principally to the hierarchy of commanders and those who approved the mission. This shows contempt for the values of professionalism, the purity of weapons and for human lives."

The Navy officers' letter came as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was convening his top ministers to deliberate a United Nations proposal to create a joint international committee alongside Turkey and the United States to investigate the circumstances of the deadly raid.

DUDE... that TREBLE hook with the 36 OZ lead weight on it on the steel leader has got to fucking hurt since its buried so deep in your gut you have swallowed it so deep.

With ALL the video that was made during this excellent martyrdom adventure of the "peaceful" activists if the Israeli's had opened up before any of them roped down.... it would be all over Al Jihad News service. You can see on the video.s already posted that the first guy roping down was nearly killed right at the very start.

Please.. rub just a couple of the brain cells you purportedly have together and take the return carpet from the Twilight Zone.

Last week, the Israel Defence Force had to issue a retraction over an audio clip it had claimed was a conversation between Israeli naval officials and people on the Mavi Marmara, in which an activist told soldiers to "go back to Auschwitz". The clip was carried by Israeli and international press, but today the army released a "clarification/correction", explaining that it had edited the footage and that it was not clear who had made the comment.

The Israeli army also backed down last week from an earlier claim that soldiers were attacked by al-Qaida "mercenaries" aboard the Gaza flotilla. An article appearing on the IDF spokesperson's website with the headline: "Attackers of the IDF soldiers found to be al-Qaida mercenaries", was later changed to "Attackers of the IDF Soldiers found without identification papers," with the information about al-Qaida removed from the main article. An army spokesperson told the Guardian there was no evidence proving such a link to the terror organisation.

Wrong. You're making stuff up as before. You really ought to stop doing that.

looks like some relief is coming to gaza...

Syrian President Bashar Assad said Monday that Damascus would stand by "every decision" made by Turkey to see Israel lift its blockade of the Gaza Strip, declaring: "We are not just about condemnation, we are about actions."

At a joint press conference in Istanbul with Assad,Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his government was prepared to supply the Gaza Strip with "everything it needs", adding that Israel's blockade of the Hamas-ruled territory must end immediately.

"What happened on the flotilla is a crime against humanity," Erdogan said, referring to the Israel Navy raid on a Gaza-bound aid ship last week that left nine Turkish nationals dead.

"Palestine and Gaza are a giant prison and this situation cannot continue," he said. "We can no longer remain silent and we will not be silent anymore regarding anything having to do with Gaza.

Assad added his own criticism of the flotilla raid, calling it not "just another crime, but a crime that exposes Israel's true face."

Maybe what we American's need to know: is ISLAM a religion of peace or is it truely what we see every day on TV. Men/Women of God blowing themselves up, treating their Wives and daughters as less than HUMAN. Crying for peace when in fact they plan for WAR.

Islam is peace, but what we see everyday is not Islam. To bad true Muslims dont actually stand up to those that use their religion for evil purposes. What we need is a Muslim civil war.

True Muslims should fight back against those that are ruining their religion. Instead they sit back and bitch and moan about what we western devils are doing to their Muslim brothers.

I think a lot of them are like the rest of us -- they want to live their lives, and figure that if enough people are exposed to good solid citizens who happen to be Muslim, they'll learn that it's not the religion, it's the individual.

That and who wants to pick a fight with homicidal fanatics who show a history of disregard for collateral damage and no reluctance to kill their own? It's not an environment that invites debate.

They were getting "everything it needs", except weapons and armorments.
Are you saying those things should be let through so the killing can continue?
