turtlespeed 212 #1 May 27, 2010 OR - The State of the Union "The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary good sense and judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. "The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president." -UnknownI'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
tr027 0 #2 May 27, 2010 Well you could go on and on likewise about many things: a citizenry that: ...'would allow the Federal Reserve takeover of the monetary system with no oversight whatsoever' ...'that would allow the proliferation of statist central planning' ...'that feels more violence is always the answer'"The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. dmcoco84 5 #6 May 27, 2010 Do you know who, Hitler, learned all about propaganda from...? Woodrow Wilson! Did you know that we had a desegregated military before Wilson... When he came into office, he re-segregated the military and civil services. He reduced the number of blacks in the federal government too... wicked racist. Wow, fantastic! We have entrusted men like him with the presidency for well over 200 years. We seem to still be here. Every time the fearmongers and rabble-rousers claimed that this president was going to destroy us all, destroy our economy, lead us into communism, lead us into endless war, abdicate to the Pope etc they've been wrong. No reason to think this fearmonger is any different.

I mean, Teddy Roosevelt was a progressive and a nature preservationist, GWB was an oil baron elected by idiots.

Coco Since, as a good conservative, you didn't post any support, I don't know if it's true or not about Wilson. But remember, that was the turning of the Dems from the regressive maggots to eventually the progressives. Racism in the pre-WWI to post WWI era was non-partisan; they all did it. Wilson was a Jesus-loving moralist maggot, so being a racist in that era was par, I don't doubt that you are right with your assertion. Of course the Repiblicans weren't exactly champions for racial minorities either.

I wonder why everybody doesn't agree with a statement that appears to be popular on a white supremacist/neo-Nazi website. Hmmm... Also, I'm curious why turtle thinks everyone SHOULD agree with this. The summary of it is basically "Democrats are fucking up our country by voting Democratic politicians in to office." There's no reason "everyone" should agree with that anymore than everyone should agree that GWB was the worst President ever. Neither even comes close to approaching the status of an absolute truth. It's just more opinionated drivel that somebody thought was clever.
quade 4 #18 May 27, 2010 BTW, I was in no way suggesting Turtle actually copied it from the neo-nazi site. That was simply the earliest reference I could find to it. It's on a bajillion copy and paste talking point web sites and blogs since the beginning of the year. I kinda was hoping to find something earlier so it wasn't as closely tied to the neo-nazis, but I never did.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
