Obama upset about the oil spill "blame game"... Seriously?

Recommended Posts

> People that still find it funny are a bit simple minded.

The term was never really funny. No one other than conservatives thinks that protesting government equates to dangling your testes in someone else's mouth. But it is fun to watch conservatives decide that it does mean that.

>Besides... in case you did hear, it's "Teabagga" not "Teabagger".

I did not! I'll be sure to use the correct term in the future.

No. I did it to expose hypocrisy. It worked.

...His statement was disgusting and shows a lot about his character...

Get a thicker skin. It's a word I've almost never used. I've been paying attention to political issues for nearly 20 years and have grown weary of being called a "racist" by left-wing totalitarians who keep taking away my money and my freedom. These people direct their offensive insults at decent Americans who just want to be left alone. Your inability to keep things in perspective shows a lot about your character.

... The fact that he said it about the POTUS says even more....
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
OHHH! We can't say anything bad about the President?

(1943) "Rabbi, I know you disagree with the deportations, but you shouldn't speak unkindly about Mr. Hitler that way, He IS the President."

Really now. Do you remove those kneepads once in a while just to wash them?

...he is the POTUS and to say something like that shows a complete lack of respect not just for the man, but the office and the country...
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

It is Obama who shows a complete lack of respect for the office and country. His campaign was little more than a series of lies and vacuous slogans (as well as frequent remarks about his race.) He won the election BECAUSE he's black. Many of the people who voted for him never expected what they got. They don't pay attention to current events and didn't understand the ramifications of their vote; They jes' be wantin' a black President.

He won election by fraud & deceit, then proceeded to shove an aggressive left-wing agenda down our collective throats. Not only is he wrecking the economy, but he has shown contempt for everything that has made this nation great.

His response to the Gulf accident reeks of strong-arm bullying. Instead of a spirit of cooperation, his impulse is to treat BP as a villain, with talk of "investigations" & "hearings" spewing from his conceited mouth.

I feel like a guy riding a rocking chair in a small room full of cats.

Cheers,
Jon

Please know I agree with you assessment of the President. Almost completely agree!

Also know I have not said anything against you other than you used a description I would not (in today's PC world especially).

I am not sure if you think I typed some of what you were responding to. I did not

Hang in there
And remember the PC police are trying to silence you as they do others they disagree with. To me, that is the most disgusting thing going on here

And many of the people who voted for Bush never expected what they got. He won the election because he likes Jesus a lot. C'mon, most people do not read manifestos, they do not research policies or voting records. This is true of any politician at the national level, it is not new and it is certainly not Obama's fault. Anyone who regrets voting for him now has only his or herself to blame.

Ok,serious question

What percentage of those who voted for Obama and follow current events, will vote for him again in 2012? (in your opinion)

I have absolutely no idea.

And it's a long time between now and polling day.

Ok

How about if the vote were tomorrow?

The qualification of your answer gives me a hint you have some kind of gut feel about this topic.

If its between him or Sarah Palin I'm going with him, otherwise, all bets are off.

How 'bout ol' Ron Paul?

I'd vote for Ron Paul over Obama. And while I would hugely enjoy a Palin candidacy (think of the fun!) I'd vote for Obama over her.

on the first, I'm with you, on the last, I'd vote for none of the above. More likely to cast a vote towards the Libertarians in that race.

Obama today regarding the BP spill: 'All that can be done, is being done.'

Except timely sweeper tankers, approval for barriers that were requested weeks ago, continued use of toxic chemicals by BP..., etc, etc... What a joke. He looked like he was choking on his own words today. :S

This "Top Kill" thing is at least sounding promising. But the ball has already been dropped on clean up.

Yep. And if things hadn't gone that way, your post would have read "except for functioning sweeper tankers, the use of faulty and hastily constructed barriers, and the banning of dispersants that could have cleaned up the mess."

The only consistent thing we'll see from the right wing on this one is "it's Obama's fault."

So when the prresident says this today...

"This notion that somehow the federal government is sitting on the sideline for the last three or four or five weeks, we've just been letting BP make a whole bunch of decisions, is simply not true."

and 2 minutes later says

...if "BP's contractors are not moving as nimbly or effectively as they need to be, then it is already the power of the federal government to redirect those resources."

and then

...BP has emergency contracts on hand in the event of an oil spill, Obama says, and "their job is to activate those and start paying them."

what are we to think?

He did manage to say something to the effect that "before his administration" people had gotten too cozy with big oil.

>Why didn't they just burn it.

"Obama burns oil! He kills sea life, wastes our precious domestic oil AND endangers Louisiana! He is truly a fool and a hypocrite."

"Obama does not burn oil! He kills sea life, destroys our coastlines and ends tourism in Florida! He is truly a fool and a hypocrite."

Just wanted to get the right wing positions prepared.

So what are your thoughts on the greedy cunts that are responsable for this?

you right wingers are quick to judge OBama and his handling of it such things, but call any government intervention of corporations 'socialism'.

You can't have it both ways, If you want free trade without government intervention, don't even think about blaming the government for not doing enough.

I can do so as I am all for government regulation, it is corruption that I am opposed to (both government and corporate).

Those oil tycoons are sitting on billions or trillions, people can go to the moon, make nano technology, fly the speedof sound but they cant cap an oil well that produces billions of dollars?

For fucks sake!

That is bullshit, they just didn't invest enough on it because they didn't care enough.

It is fucking atrocious and tourism should be the least of the worries!

ecology is what give us the ability to live, BP should have to expend its entire fortune if that is what it takes to get the best experts and engineers working on multipule solutions.

The government should fast track any paperwork, without oversight of course. and should make BP pay every fucking cent.

I hope BP goes broke over this and the CEO is hung by his balls, because that may stop this from ever happening again.
