Just when the national dialogue is on immigration...

Obama takes immigration reform off agenda

Quote

WASHINGTON -- Immigration reform has become the first of President Barack Obama's major priorities dropped from the agenda of an election-year Congress facing voter disillusionment. Sounding the death knell was Obama himself.

The president noted that lawmakers may lack the "appetite" to take on immigration while many of them are up for re-election and while another big legislative issue - climate change - is already on their plate.

So global warming is causing illegal immigration?

When will it all end???
I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet..

But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Since the controversial Arizona law is to provide AZ a mechanism to enforce federal law, one would suspect that if the President and Congress were so averse the AZ law they could repeal the federal laws upon which the AZ law rides.

Or, they could go for immigration reform.

But they won't - it's much easier to demonize the right wingers that actually do something.

How many carbon credits should each illegal Immigrant that walks accross the border get for choosing to enter the united states illegally in the most green method possible? Should illegal immigrants pay taxes on the profit from selling said carbon credits? ;)

AZ, and any state that shares a border with another country, should have the right to enforce federal laws already on the books - it's stupid, common, sense. The only reason this is even an issue is because our nation is so divided that pundits clutch anything within reach in order to spew there hasty, lying, rhetoric. Let's see the pundits go all scholarly on our asses and tell the f-ing truth for once...yeah, that ain't gonna happen, so the only thing to do, dears, is put on our critical thinking caps.
can I borrow a jump ticket real quick?

It's becoming too obvious the real immigration agenda is amnesty, and he knows that won't fly anytime soon.

OMG, who would ever do blanket amnesty???????

And remember, other than fasicst Ronnie signing it, the R's controlled the Senate too.

Looks like more talking out of both sides of the face again.

You got it backwards, Illegal immigration causes global warming.

Yeah, I was gonna say that. Reason: they're beaners, right? So if they emigrate all over the place, that's more methane that gets spread around faster, right? Ergo, accelerated GW.
