Roll call - leaving the US if Obama is elected

Recommended Posts

I would think they would be far more at home in Central and South American military dictatorships with right wing death squads to get rid of those pesky "leftists".

wow.

I don't think I'll actually leave. But I will consider a shrug. Why should I do all the work? I should be able to walk out on my responsibilities, go broke and just live off the scabs too.... shouldn't I? Or maybe instead of welfare (cuz we all can't get the hand outs that are promised).... I'll just apply at Hooters.

Honestly though - IF he gets elected... I don't think it will be the BRIGHT AND SUNNY CHANGE that some are expecting.

i'm not going anywhere. while i disagree with the direction obama and a democratic congress will lead us, i still think this will be the best place in the world to raise my family. besides, if its really that bad, americans will give the house and senate back to the republicans in two years.

That's 'cause you have not lived here in OZ:)

In the picture it says "Welcome to Canada". Somehow I think the people making all the noise would find life in Canada far more intolerable.....since most of them prattle on and on about socialism whenever they invoke the name of Obama.

I would think they would be far more at home in Central and South American military dictatorships with right wing death squads to get rid of those pesky "leftists".

LOL...... and reminisce about the good ole days back in WWII Germany....:D But seriously, where do you go if you're a RW American displaced by Obama's presence in the WH? I mean it's gotta be a place as conservative as here.... no where, that's where, there is no place more conservative, maybe more oppressive, but not more conservative.

Yea, seriously, it took Clinton into his second term to start unfucking the handywork of 12 years of Reagan/Bush, or at least it didn't show until his 4-5th year.

Like I said.. take a few trips thru Central and South America... there are plenty of places that are RW and oppressive. They can always head to some of the former soviet republics.. there are several where they would be right at home.

So, no place is as conservative.....But you also said about the US:

you are leaving teh finest country on earth

So it is the most conservative AND the best on Earth?

I'm thinking Thailand but I would never credit Obama with such a positive change in my life.

Why would you leave the US, the greatest country in the world?

Well it certainly wouldn't be for good. Not renouncing my citizenship or anything. However I do feel it would be a good thing to spend some time overseas. Especially in the country my mom came from. Hell! At least in Thailand they have the balls to kick their corrupt politicians out of office. They seriously do not tolerate any sort of bullshit out of their leaders.

Well, in an oppressive, totalitarian way, but not in the same way as American conservatism. They may share some attributes, but I consider ME countries to be just grossly totalitarian w/o looking at conservatism.

Recently BillyVance posted the picture below, suggesting people would leave the US if Obama got elected. So let's see who really has the courage of their convictions. Post here if you plan to leave.

Personally I'm not planning to leave, but I'm preparing to, let's name it "change the way my compensation is paid" for this case.

Kind of. At least I see completely no reasons to work 17 hours a day just to help yet another "poor homeowner" with my money.
