Amazing to hear the masses saying that they would leave the US

Recommended Posts

Amazing the number of peeps who claim that they would leave the country if Hillary Clinton is voted in as President. I am far from being a supporter of Hillary...and I do have another nationality..so if all goes to shit I could leave but I'm not thinking that way.

I remember the remarkable level of concern over here in the UK when it seemed likely he'd be the next US predident.

'The end of the world...!' was a more dramatic view.

Unfortunately, it certainly is turning into a bag of the proverbial.:D

'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

We need to make it a law that anyone who pledges to leave the country if the next dreadful Republican or Democratic is elected....is held to that contract with America.

You post is the first I've heard about this. Anyone famous making this claim? Or is it just the people you associate with?

IMO, these kinds of "throw down the gauntlet" claims say much more about a person's intolerance and emotional instability than their political convictions. :S

Is America ready for a female president? Is America ready for a Black president? Is America ready to try something different in an attempt to evolve itself or it is more interested in maintaining the status quo (which does not appear to be working). Besides John McCain (who’s health could be questionable) we still haven’t seen who the Republicans might field. Of course not being a Yank, I am only a spectator here, but I am all for listening to what Hillary Clinton has to say. But if she plans on leading America down a more socialistic path, I think you guys will be making a huge mistake. If she plans on leading American somewhere down the center, then she’s got to be better than the fool currently leading you guys (oh and historically I’ve always sided with the Republican presidents … until GWB came on the scene).

But center to right leaning Americans should think again if they want to leave and come to a place like Canada. That is unless of course you like shitty weather, high taxes, low to medium wages, high housing in all the major urban centers, a broken healthcare system and a socialistic society that thinks of itself as a victim and caters to the special interest groups. No if center to right leaning Americans leave America because of a left leaning government, their options around the world are limited.

Is America ready for a female president? I say yes … but only if she leads them down the center (we know she won’t lead them down the right). But I would like to see more people step up to the plate. If America truly is ready for a female president, I think a Clinton versus Rice race would be interesting to watch … meow.

I would like to move to a country whose federal government is based on something like the United States Constitution.

unfortunately, Our Glorious Leaders (democrats & republicans) have had other plans over the years.:(

There are STILL some nice Right Wing military dictatorships in South America that can serve the need.. Plenty of german and italian speaking people fled there after their fascist time was over.

That's a real problem when so many think that gender or race is really "something different". Cosmetic (as far as leadership or politics are concerned) differences don't equal different ways of thinking.

I think America is ready for a good leader that will do what they say. They don't even need "different" ideas, they just need strength of conviction and an honest streak.

I only suspect it matters that they are 35 years old or more, and a citizen, and hasn't already served more the 6 years as president already.

I'd rather see Congress fit this bill as far as the $$$ are concerned.

The question here is, who would you rather wake up and have breakfast with every morning?

Now that one finally got me to think outside the box. My new dream ticket:

Captain Crunch for President. Tony the Tiger would make a GGGRRRRRRREAT running mate.

Plenty of people said they'd leave if Dubya was elected in 2000. Didn't happen.

I can't see this happening, either.

Good point. I will be very disappointed if she wins office, but I won't be going anywhere. Even with our worst bleeding heart, hairshirt, tax & spend lefty in the Oval Office; it's still the best show in town. (In the 200 million and over weight class anyway).

If we could get the 11 to 12 million illegals to leave would be a fine start, but that will never happen just as Alec Baldwin was all talk no action.

As much as I hate Bush, I haven't gone anywhere. Let's not forget that Hillary will have to get elected first, and if she does, then a lot of people (not necessarily most of them, as we have seen) musta voted for her. and she'll still have to sell her ideas to the Congress.

For all the fellow Bush haters I know, I only know one couple who actually did leave and move to Canada and they only finally just left last month. I'll wait for the next election.

I think we've got a pretty good crop of candidates coming up and I know that even the ones I don't like will do a better job than the fucking chimpanzee we've got now.

So, with Bush's two term presidency 80% over your friends leave the country... one can only wonder how much Bush getting elected weighed on their decision making process.:ph34r::ph34r:

Will having a different gender or colour really change anything or will it simply be the same vehicle with a different paint job or different accessories. I would not vote against someone for their colour/gender but I would need to see something in their campaign other than the fact that they are not white male before I will asume they will implement significant positive change.

I don't really care what you are, if the person can relate to the people, who cares what they are, I want to hear what they have to say, not that their black or female or mexican, tell me what you have on your plate and let me decide if its worth my time to taste it, I want real info. not backdoor mumbo jumbo. give me real talk
