More Ironic Hilarity from The White House

He must be going for the "Dickhead of the Century" award or something! What a fucking unbelievable asshole. It defies comprehension. I was trying to come up with a funny analogy, like "Texas urges states to limit death penalty judgements", but none are really good enough, or as crazy as the serious ones from Bush.

This has nothing to do with the global impact, nor do I believe the White House cares at all about addressing the issues. Read it close and you see he is talking about planning a meeting that will plan and then allow countries to make their own choices about those plans. By doing so, he is ignoring the real process and organizations that most in the world already look to provide solutions.

This is all just spin. This administration is looking toward the future already. They are looking at the public's opinion about both the GOP and the Dems and see that favor is low on both sides. So...they start the spin for the next election now....they are offering up talking points that can be used down the road in even more baseless talking points....things that the uninformed public will just smile-and-nod about and believe cause someone said it from a stage.

Why should we let a bunch of second tier, socialist countries determine our output in global pollution?

The Kyoto accord is about one thing. Hobbling the U.S.

Where is the contempt for China or India?

Lemme get this straight, you believe the Kyoto Accord is a conspiracy attempting to slow the U.S. economy and that it has nothing whatsoever to do with the environment?

I was thinking this very thing yesterday. Two days ago it was Darfur, yesterday it was AIDS. Now climate. Personally I'd prefer a show with actual dogs and ponies and a lot less Executive greenhouse gas emissions.

He's an asshole. Vying for the survival of the Republican party in the next election. "Let's pretend we give a shit so they will hopefully vote us back in", then we can continue with the same bullshti all over again.

When are we going to get a new third viable alternative in the country?

I like the idea of the French Revolution. All the poor people finally rose up against the rich and the aristocracy and beheaded the lot of them.

Everyone bad-mouths the French, but one thing the French do very well is take care of the French.

The American Government simply has everyone believing in the 'American dream' to keep you hoping. But where will youl really be in 30-40 years? - mostly poor....

The only way this would ever work in a modern, developed country would be if the head of the government gave tacit approval for it.

Contrast and compare Soviet Union vs Tiananmen Square.

I seriously doubt it could ever happen in the U.S. for a number of reasons.

The fact that it exempted China, the superpower #2 in motion, makes it worthless.

When I saw the headline, I read Hillary. Is it not irony that Bill Clinton never submitted Kyoto for approval by Congress?
