All I know is that there is so much manly testosterone around that my Hat can barely block out all the manly energy.

i still want one of those sweet-ass hats....;)

They don't just go out to anybody. The Hat is very selective.

If you looked outside in the Nortel parking lot,

Don't tell me you work for Nortel?!?!?!?

A manly man like you working for a bunch of commie pussies from Canada? It can't be....

It may be based out of Canada, but it only grew significantly when they moved a lot of their business to the U.S. mainly, RTP and Richardson.

Man: Is this the right room for an argument?

Other Man: I've told you once.

Man: No you haven't!

Other Man: Yes I have.

M: When?

O: Just now.

M: No you didn't!

O: Yes I did!

M: You didn't!

O: I did!

M: You didn't!

O: I'm telling you, I did!

M: You didn't!

O: Oh I'm sorry, is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour?

M: Ah! Just the five minutes.

O: Just the five minutes. Thank you. ....Anyway, I did.

M: You most certainly did not!

O: Now let's get one thing perfectly clear: I most definitely told you!

M: Oh no you didn't!

O: Oh yes I did! ___

M: Oh no you didn't!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: Oh no you didn't!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: Oh no you didn't!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: Oh no you didn't!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: Oh no you didn't!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: No you DIDN'T!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: No you DIDN'T!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: No you DIDN'T!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: Oh look, this isn't an argument!

O: Yes it is!

M: No it isn't!

M: It's just contradiction!

O: No it isn't!

M: It IS!

O: It is NOT!

M: You just contradicted me!

O: No I didn't!

M: You DID!

O: No no no!

M: You did just then!

O: Nonsense!

M: (exasperated) Oh, this is futile!!

O: No it isn't!

M: Yes it is! I came here for a good argument!

O: AH, no you didn't, you came here for an *argument*!

M: An argument isn't just contradiction.

O: Well! it CAN be!

M: No it can't! An argument is a connected series of statement intended to establish a proposition.

O: No it isn't!

M: Yes it is! 'tisn't just contradiction.

O: Look, if I *argue* with you, I must take up a contrary position!

M: Yes but it isn't just saying "no it isn't".

O: Yes it is!

M: No it isn't!

O: Yes it is!

M: No it isn't!

O: Yes it is!

M: No it ISN'T! Argument is an intellectual process. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says.

O: It is NOT!

M: It is!

O: Not at all!

M: It is!

O: Thank you, that's it.

M: (What?

O: That's it. Good morning.

M: But I was just getting interested!

O: I'm sorry, the five minutes is up.

M: That was never five minutes!!

O: I'm afraid it was.

M: No it wasn't.....

O: I'm sorry, I'm not allowed to argue any more.

M: WHAT??

O: If you want me to go on arguing, you'll have to pay for another five minutes.

M: But that was never five minutes just now!

(p Oh Come on! ....Oh this is... This is ridiculous!

O: I told you... I told you, I'm not allowed to argue unless you PAY!

M: Oh all right. There you are.

O: Thank you.

M: Well...

O: Well WHAT?

M: That was never five minutes just now.

O: I told you, I'm not allowed to argue unless you've paid!

M: Well I just paid!

O: No you didn't!

M: I DID!!!

O: YOU didn't!

M: I DID!!!

O: YOU didn't!

M: I DID!!!

O: YOU didn't!

M: I DID!!!

O: YOU didn't!

M: I don't want to argue about it!

O: Well I'm very sorry but you didn't pay!

M: Ah HAH!! Well if I didn't pay, why are you arguing??? Ah HAAAAAAHHH! ...Gotcha!

O: No you haven't!

M: Yes I have! .... If you're arguing, I must have paid.

O: Not necessarily. I *could* be arguing in my spare time.

Sorry, mnealtx, while a swell guy, has no power in Hat selection. Now, you could go for inferior copies of the Hat, but none will be close to the real thing.

>ill just go run over some enviromentally sensible vehicles w/my new f-650 then....

Heck, I'll bet you could even run over a truck that looks like an F-550, is more like an F-350 but registered as an F-250! (Unless, of course, your F-650 is registered as a Yugo.)

Here's my new truck :).
Will it give me a large organ?

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

Nice one. I used want an excuse to buy one like that International. I thought it was the end all, but then I found out that the big rigs are on a different scale. That international that you showed, might run on a 5.9 liter cummins. But the big rigs range between 11 and 15 liters. They are the end all. I would like to buy a KW2000 with a 15 liter cummins or a 12.0 caterpillar. Unfortunately you just can't make serious money driving big rigs.

What? Pallid geeks wearing pocket protectors sitting behind computer screens are real manly men? Don't you go messing with stereotypes now, or the manly-truck thing might start taking hits!
----------------------------------------------

If you looked outside in the Nortel parking lot, you would be surprised how many F-250's and F-350's, you would see. If anything the F-series is among the most popular vehicle here. It seems like you are the one with the stereotypes mixed up.

Glad that doesn't apply to me. You just verified that my stereotype is valid. :D

Well don't just leave it at that, tell us what stereotype you are talking about.

Nope, that one's still safe.

Another one safe. And here I was getting worried that the nice pigeonholes everyone gets put into were going to get all out of order! That would lead to chaos in the political parties, a loss of material for Rush Limbaugh and Al Franken, people listening to other people, sensible government and all other manner of evils.

Maybe I am just not "intellectual" to understand what on earth you are trying to say here. But atleast it doesn't sound offensive, except for putting Al Franken and Rush on the same sentence. But I am used to getting that from you so its no shocker.

No problem; the pigeonholes have been saved by a last-minute bipartisan effort. And I can still send you that frog you keep talking about.

I have a question for no one in specific.

A co-worker has a sports car. She bought one with the additional speed package. It really hustles and is fun to drive.

She told me that she bought it because she likes sports cars. Is she really compensating for her lack of manhood like the guys who own similar cars ?

I think that she just needs to admit that a car isn't going to make her equal to the men. That would be healthier in the long run. :)

...and she should make me a sammich. :)

Trucks, sports cars, motorcycles, parachutes - all good fun.

You'd be amazed at the people who claim that skydivers are just compensating. I suppose it is perspective. If you are outside the sport, all skydivers are crazy. They could be right.

Then, there are parachutists who float around in their big Goodyear Blimps and talk about how the swoopers are just compensating.

Of course, then swoopers talk about how the base-jumpers are just compensating.

Interesting.

I think that people who drive those ugly Volvos are compensating. Kind of like the kid who can't jump saying that he "never liked to play stupid old basketball anyway".

They'd love to crank into 3-digits on that 1300cc Hyabusa, but don't have a pair, so they deride anyone who does.

"...doth protest too much."

They need to sit in their air-conditioned Volvo in the dz parking lot and watch real people live and say, "Oh my." Drive by in your truck and wave politely.
:D
