peacefuljeffrey 0 #1 March 3, 2006 CNN.com's poll right now says, "Who is most to blame for the failed response to Hurricane Katrina?: - Michael Brown - Michael Chertoff" Um, doesn't that poll leave a BIT to be desired? It's like, "So, when did you stop beating your wife?" It forces you to have to say that one of those two is "most responsible for the failed response to Hurricane Katrina," when in fact there may have been other things far more responsible; some possibilities are the failure of citizens to get themselves out of harm's way when they had ample notice that a powerful hurricane was inbound; failure of police to stand their posts; failure of citizens to behave in a lawful and orderly fashion; failure of Clinton's budget cuts, which impaired the safety of the levees... But no, the poll offers a narrow choice between two scapegoats. What if the poll were, "Which do you hate more, receiving oral sex or fucking?" If you answer, you're saying you "hate" both of them, but hate one less than the other. CNN's polls are the biggest pieces of shit on the internet. They pull this shit over and over. I know they are not meant in any way, shape or form to be scientific, valid polls, but at this point they are not even worth entertainment value. --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... sundevil777 99 #2 March 3, 2006 Quite right, and it should be illegal to report the results of polls without the exact wording of the poll also reported.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
Andy9o8 1 #3 March 4, 2006 OK, here's me being anal about language. The poll probably should have been worded, "Who is MORE to blame...etc." That would have made it clear that they want to know which of the 2 guys is more to blame than the other - not really who is most to blame of all possible people, and then giving you only 2 choices. I suspect that's what they meant, but by using the word "most", they left it ambiguous. I hate sloppy writing in journalism.

goofyjumper 0 #9 March 4, 2006 The list had to start some where. So you never Answered the question. I think The people who lived there were not responsible for responding to LIFE. Now everyone knows what I think about It. Why do you chose to be guided by others. 90% of those who took the pole didn,t know who either are. Do you? If so whose fault was it? why was It their fault? How do WE Make it better in the future? ----------------- I love and Miss you so much Honey! Orfun #3 ~ Darla
