While there is a obvious difference between a magazine and a clip, it is just as obvious as to the implied meaning when someone mistakenly uses the word "clip" People who are very familiar with guns use the word clip all the time. People that have been around firearms all their life and can handle them as safe as anyone use the word clip. It is not a big deal but some get all bent over it and are quick to correct. I think the whole thing is childish. Now I am not suggesting instructors use the wrong term but if I hear it in casual convesation I could give a shit less. Again some of the safest people I know around firearms have used the word "clip" Everyone knows what they meant. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue!
