Now, if someone says they do not like homosexuality but they will watch lesbians, they are hypocrites.

This is what I am talking about! If men are attracted to lesbians making out, they are in essence attracted to the idea of homosexuality.

You're missing one key point: The women who attract men by making out with each other aren't lesbians. They're straight chicks a guy has a shot at getting with/between, which is the key attraction.

Real lesbians don't make out for men.

you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

>Real lesbians don't make out for men.

?? There are no lesbian porn stars?

The common theme among people who make porn is not their sexual orientation, but that they make money by doing it in front of a camera. Sexual orientation just determines what _kind_ of porn they make. Lesbians who make porn have a bit of an advantage there.

Actually no. It's a well known fact that Cary Grant and Randolph Scott were lovers.

Cary Grant was also one of the first hollywood stars to become an LSD addict. The long list of ancient famous gay people is pretty long, going back to Hadrian in the Roman Empire.

I really wish people would get over other peoples' sexuality and worry about their own (that's directed to everyone).

Case in point: If you dig far enough on the Internet, you'll can find videos of Peter North (famous straight porn star) getting fucked in the ass by some Swede-lookin guy. Oh and John Holmes did a little gay-for-pay... mostly to pay for his expensive drug habit.

1. We don't read all the posts in any forum. If you didn't see a warning/ban after a PA, either a) it wasn't a PA or b) no one read it.

Fair answer. Its possible that a Mod did not see the attack.

2. Often you reap what you sow. Consistent offenders get fewer warnings.

Another fair answer. But that is often subjective. One might say that some get more of a break due to one reason or another just as much as some get looked at more.

Anyway, not that it really matters much. Just something I saw.

As for the movie. Well, I wonder if it will really change much in the way of movies, or society?

I tend to think it has to have an effect and I am sure most here think it is new. But it is not. It is just the first one to make a really big noise.

Anyone wonder why this movie is making such a fuss?

I only think it's made a fuss because it's being shown mainstream, actually has a decent director on it and it's not relegated to the Indie screens. This is probably the only time in timbuktwo Nebraska where you can see something like this in your movie theater without having to go to a big city like St. Louis or Dallas.

I don't plan to go watch it. I don't really care for chick-flicks, or in this case... dick-flicks.

And yes, those that know me know I am bi. The movie just really didn't seem interesting. The only movie I liked at all the last 6 months was Wallace 'n Gromit. [:/]

what i find extremely funny is the number of straight people who have convinced themselves this is the first or even the only 'gay cowboy movie'

i suppose they've never really watched their favorite westerns with an eye for subtext....

They aren't cowboys, they are sheepherders! :D
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

This is somewhat off-topic, but I was just reading some Yahoo user reviews about this movie, and I got to this one...

Quote

I'm sorry guys, but no matter how good the acting was (and I must admit it was pretty good) this movie was sickening...Hollywood officially sickens me. What kind of movie gets good reviews that promotes lying to your spouse, cheating on them, disappointing your CHILDREN, and so many more bad morals...no matter how good the acting was and how beautiful the scenery was, this movie has terrible morals...I am so disappointed in Hollywood

...umm, when did Hollywood get into the business of promoting good morals??? :S

And, back on topic... The last two mainstream movies that I have watched have had gay male couples in them - not the main characters, but fairly prominent. And I have heard no controversy over either of those movies. (I didn't even know that there would be gay couples in them before I saw them, because it wasn't shown in the ads.) What is it that makes "Brokeback Mountain" so controversial? Is it because it shows some steamier scenes between the guys, or is it because they are cowboys?

I haven't seen the movie yet, so I'm just wondering what makes it different than other movies that have had gay couples in them. I may have to wait until it's out on DVD, because it's not showing near where I live. :S

If you want actual discussion of the movie itself, go to the similarly-named thread in Bonfire.

There's only one way to find out what this movie will do to you if you watch it. :)

Gee seems there are plenty of REAL Cowboys.. who.. OMG.. are GAY....http://www.igra.com/

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Did you think I would be surprised there are gay cowboys?

However, the IGRA doesn't require anyone to be gay or declare they are gay, so apparently the only thing that is gay about it is that they raise money to support charities within the Gay and Lesbian community. Anyone know if there is something else?

Also, what is a MsTer? (from their site: IGRA has four positions of titled Royalty: Mr. IGRA, Ms. IGRA, Miss IGRA and MsTer IGRA.)[:/]
