unclecharlie95 3 #1 January 30, 2017 I've read what the bible says but was wondering if anyone has any additional advice for removing a built in turn by adjusting the line trim. BASE canopy, 240, dacron lines. 50 jumps. Checked by the manufacturer who could not find any fault. As the canopy was already 2nd hand they refused to change it. I will jump the canopy myself to get an idea of the speed of the turn. Any advice greatly appreciated.BASEstore.it
accumack 13 #2 January 30, 2017 When I worked at Para Flite we found shortening the outside b line was the most effective (no more than 3/4") although we never did that on a customer canopy we either repaired the problem or built a new canopy and replaced it. JerryBaumchen 1,046 #3 January 30, 2017 Hi accumack, QuoteWhen I worked at Para Flite we found . . . Just out of personal curiosity, did you ever find out what caused the turn(s) to begin with? I spent 8 yrs working for a guy who only wanted to cure the current problem(s), he never wanted to go farther back & find out why they occurred in the first place. Now, I did; and I found really interesting things, stuff I would have never suspected. All of this was mostly to do with structural steel in one form or another. accumack 13 #4 January 30, 2017 Yes we knew what caused them. It was still proprietary when I left.
