hackish 8 #2 May 10, 2016 They are quite easy to time if you know what you're doing. I'd say they are as easy or easier than any other sewing machine... -Michael
councilman24 36 #3 May 10, 2016 "Adjustment/timing" from the seller may mean more than what we mean by timing. Still pretty cheap. I'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE
hackish 8 #4 May 11, 2016 I think I'm the king of buying busted machines for too much money. I've bought a number of machines and have never gotten one that worked properly right out of the box. I think part of it is that people stitching buffing wheels don't care if their machine occasionally drops a stitch. -Michael
Unstable 8 #5 May 12, 2016 Let us know how it turns out - If you can retime and get this machine up and going for $200 then that will be a story to tell!=========Shaun ==========
highspeeddirt 0 #6 May 15, 2016 went to look at it yesterday.it's in great shape, not much visible wear. but the thing is locked up. i am mostly familiar with singer bar tackers . this juki is much more complex.
likestojump 3 #7 May 15, 2016 I had one, and that thing was damn fast, and a pain to adjust if I was needing to work on multiple stitch lengths. But it worked well. Made me appreciate my 1900 so much more ;)
gb1 3 #8 May 15, 2016 If you get it, to solve the lock up problem, disconnect something and see if it frees up. Then you know which side of the disconnection the problem is. Keep doing that and you will find it. Works on just about everything. It will probably take alot of time, and if a bent or broken part, alot of money. highspeeddirt 0 #10 August 25, 2016 UPDATE--- 8/25/16---- called the guy yesterday to see if he still had the machine. He took it to a sewing machine shop in Sylmar. They told him it needed parts and it would cost more than the machine was worth, and so he opted not to have it repaired. He says i can have the machine for free if i go and pick it up.Any thoughts? hackish 8 #11 August 25, 2016 Sell me the whole clutch assembly off it for $200 then sell the rest for parts for $100. Put $300 of free money toward a newer machine... -Michael
