Anybody recognize this big ass blue thing?

Recommended Posts

See photo below for inside steering line attachments. Has one that was never used and a field added one inboard. Seached all cell walls and rest for info but none. Big ass blue F-111 9 cell. Lines are not finger trapped at canopy but are at cascades and links. LR-288, goliath something pre orange lable. Red tab at center tail for rubberband for slider.

Too lazy to measure it.:)

Not Goliath, since Para-Flite used a sheet bend instead of larks head at both ends of the line, and cascades were just laid on top of continuous lines for the bartack.

Might also be Strong, Pioneer, or Gargano canopy.

Judging by the stitch pattern for the attachment point, I'm guessing an FTS canopy. I don't remember their whole line of canopies, or even which were 9 cell and 7 cell, but I can remember the Laser, Bogy and Rascal names. Does it have any support tapes on the load bearing ribs?

Does the slider have 4 grommets or 16? :)
