Michele 1 #27 April 23, 2004 From what I just heard on the news (regular, prime time news), NK is asking China for help...I'm not too sure what to think of that (other than I hope NK gets all the help it really needs). And Mark Harju, your comment was atrocious. There is no "good riddance" to thousands killed because of an accident. None. peacefuljeffrey 0 #28 April 23, 2004 QuoteRescue teams? There are two reasons fo that. The second reason is to assist and help out. The first reason is to train for the Big One, which, by one account, should be here before September. Oh, that's just great. Casurf1978 0 #33 April 23, 2004 I heard the same report, and some people found wreckage as far away as 10 miles. DAMN. NK said the explosives were going to be used for irrigation channels. Yeah right.

The count of 54 dead - when phones were cut, and news blackouts were instigated, seem odd. I don't know if we'll ever know the correct numbers. The "reports" (as good as rumors) say that low hangning electrical wires caught on two cars loaded with dynamite. Those cars were in process of being transferred to another train, which was apparently carrying various petroleum products. Further "reports" say that these were destined to be used in a major irrigation project.
