pph 0 #1 March 22, 2012 How do guys and girls, looking for any information to help with my brother.Basically my brother was involved on a motorbike crash about 2 years ago. We were both active skydivers at the time and since it happened hes not been in the air. his right arm is somewhat paralyzed he has full control of his hand but arm movement is reduced to him being unable to raise it above chest level. only thing stopping him now is releasing steering toggles and the flare. could a rig be adapted so the steering toggles are at chest level? If so could it also be adapted so the canopy could go from full flight to full brakes within a foot or so? any ideas would be helpfull he can hold mantis ok in the tunnel so free fall wouldn't be an issue. cheers
airtwardo 6 #2 March 24, 2012 Years ago I had a buddy in a similar situation... He had the toggles moved down to near the bottom of the risers and set the canopy up so 'full-flight' was about 1/2 brakes...'flaring' was about 16 inches of travel. Not ideal but it kept him jumping. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

dragon2 0 #4 June 17, 2012 I have no idea if this could work for freefall, but some of the CRW jumpers I know have their toggles on their mudflaps. You could ask CaTo about this. ciel bleu, Saskia
jimmytavino 16 #5 July 2, 2012 might not be ideal... but how about a few tandem jumps with some friends.... ?? Find a TM with a rig. and just pay for slots... Then,,, he AND you, can get back into freefall together!!!He may then do as much toggle work as he is able.... while still having a "back-up" for flaring purposes, if needed... just a suggestion... jmy
