Recommended Posts

For those of you who read and post here and don't frequent the Bonfire, I thought the crossposting is well deserved.

for the post about the Handyflight 2011, 4th annual meeting for pilots with disabilities, which happened 2 weeks ago in Gruyères, Switzerland.

Wish that they could have a couple of skydivers with disabilities next year :)
Great lesson of living for people without known disabilities.

Very little talking, some in french ,some in english. I asked the realisator of the video to also include subtitles, hope that they will come soon.

good to hear that. You will be very very welcomed (and you can ask Andy Farrington, the scenery around here is pretty cool :)
Will redirect the originators of the meeting to this thread.

Do you also fly airplanes ? or do you still groundlaunch/paraglide ?

Is this for pilots as described in the original post, or for canopy pilots as well?
Is there a DZ to jump at for us, or are we ground launching?

This sounds very interesting, with relatives in Switzerland, I'd hope it's at the same place next yr. I'd love to fly my canopies there.

Thanks for sharing the post here.:)

there is a DZ there at the airfield, opened most weekends around that period.

If there is interest (by the participants, the DZO and the meeting organizers), pretty sure something could be arranged :)
The event has taken place 4 years in a row by locals, and I am pretty sure that there will be a 5th event, and still in Gruyères.

There is also paragliding possibility, in a very nice region :)

from the organizers :

-places limited to 40 pilots (due to logistics/hotels/transport etc). More people interested than slots available). They had mainly glider and small plane pilots, 1 paraglider pilot.
-if interested in a slot, please contact them via email or Facebook page (see above)
-event is bi-annual, so next date will be end of july 2013
