SkyDane 0 #1 July 17, 2005 Hi, I just got an ileostomy and am not allowed to jump for at least 3 months But I very much want to pick it up after those 3 months. I was just wondering....are there anyone out there who have jumped with an ileostomy and if so, are there any special precautions I should take? maggott 0 #4 September 15, 2005 I have noticed little or no change in biological output, or gasses within the ostomy appliance. The most important thing is to have the pouch out of the way of the leg strap. That's easily done... I've never had a problem related to skydiving. To be honest, I thought that my surgery would be the end of my skydiving life (that and the fact that my dropzone was bulldozed the same year). But I have since made hundreds of jumps without difficulty... I will however say that my nude skydiving days are over with.
