marco 0 #1 June 5, 2005 Hello there all, this is my first post after joining up 2 years ago when i got thru AFF! Only got 50 done since then after a lay off, but i want to get back to it now. Only thing is i want to get my girlfriend involved. She has has both of her knees replaced with titanium joints, and she does not have the upper body mobiliy to achieve stability in freefall / control a canopy. So tandem is the only option BUT i'm worried about landings on her knees. Anyone have any experience of jumping people with artificial knees / hips or low impact landing techniques that could be employed on a tandem jump? Many thanks - uk based by the way

doorgirl 0 #3 March 13, 2006 Do you want to get her involved or does she want to get involved? Even if you do everything to make it as safe as can be her knees might get hurt - and doing a revision replacement is a much more complicated procedure than the surgery that got her to this point. Just food for thought.
