shuffle 0 #1 July 28, 2015 Looks really good, but wearing sharp plastic that close to the jugular could cause problem during a rough landing? Anyone else thought of this as an safety issue?

JerryBaumchen 1,344 #4 July 28, 2015 Hi shuffle, QuoteThe two plastic inserts over the shoulders? Are you sure that those are not the tuck-tab pockets? If so, that is very normal and nothing to be concerned about. Jerry Baumchen

DSE 5 #6 July 29, 2015 Those are just tuck-tab pockets. at the very worst, *if* you could somehow contort yourself to have them move past your jugular, you'd do better to be worried about fabric burn than the small plastic insert cutting through a layer of cordura and still having enough force to open skin. However...the hook knife in my mudflap does worry me from time to time (usually when I go through the airport).
shuffle 0 #7 July 29, 2015 jumpwallycaution = Know thy gear..... So very true, but I don´t own a Curv, just going by the pictures. And I made a mistake, I ment under the shoulders( check picture). Looks like stiffeners, and it looks like plastic or something that is riggid and have sharp sides. Could someone who have a Curv explain what these are? http://www.rigginginnovations.com/App_Themes/Curv/images/Container/6843.jpg http://www.rigginginnovations.com/App_Themes/Curv/images/Container/6516.jpg
DSE 5 #8 July 30, 2015 That is the BioYoke, and it is soft, flexible, and not at all plastic. It is a flexible fabric, identical to what is on a Swiss Army computer bag. Nothing sharp at all. FWIW, I have two Curvs

Also, I believe new Curvs and Curv 2s now come with mag riser covers (I think....).Remster
DSE 5 #13 August 4, 2015 I'm hopeful Sandy offers the riser mags as an option and not a standard.
pms07 3 #14 August 4, 2015 shuffle The two plastic inserts over the shoulders? Or have I mixed it all up Yes, you have it mixed up. What you are looking at is the BioYoke, a major part of why the Curv is so comfortable. There is nothing sharp, no plastic, so your jugular is probably safe with an RI Curv... Try on a Curv, jump one if you can. I think you will be impressed.
