Audible placement in a g3?

Recommended Posts

I just picked up a Neptune 3 to put in my Cookie g3 and I'm finding it to be pretty uncomfortable. Any advice on placement?

I tried putting it on the top of the helmet which felt great but I couldn't hear it. In the flap near my ear it grinds into my head. Any tips?

Thanks!

One trick I use for audibles is to use earplugs. Paradoxically, earplugs (at least the foam ones I use) make hearing the beeps/sounds much easier, since it conducts the sounds through the foam directly to my ear. Even when I can barely hear the wind, the audible sounds loud and clear.

Makes sense. I've hacked "noise canceling" headphones (when I've forgotten to pack my real ones) on a plane by putting in earplugs then using regular headphones on top of them when watching a movie on a flight. Works remarkably well!
