metaxzen 0 #1 June 30, 2015 I just picked up a Neptune 3 to put in my Cookie g3 and I'm finding it to be pretty uncomfortable. Any advice on placement? I tried putting it on the top of the helmet which felt great but I couldn't hear it. In the flap near my ear it grinds into my head. Any tips? Thanks! grantunderland 0 #2 June 30, 2015 For the N3, you'll probably have to cut out some of the padding to get it to fit. I never got around to that since my N3 seems to have a shorter-than-average battery life. Leaving it in during the week may help shape the padding around it some to make it more comfortable. RXB17 0 #3 June 30, 2015 I had the same problem when I first started using my N3 as well. It turns out I wasn't pushing it into the cutout in the foam. Once I did that I couldn't even feel that it was there.

shadeland 5 #6 July 3, 2015 One trick I use for audibles is to use earplugs. Paradoxically, earplugs (at least the foam ones I use) make hearing the beeps/sounds much easier, since it conducts the sounds through the foam directly to my ear. Even when I can barely hear the wind, the audible sounds loud and clear.

I've hacked "noise canceling" headphones (when I've forgotten to pack my real ones) on a plane by putting in earplugs then using regular headphones on top of them when watching a movie on a flight.
