Mirage Packing Tray Sizing - Canopy size too small?

Recommended Posts

I have a Mirage G4 M2 which I have used for my Sabre2 150 for quite some time, and now my Sabre2 135 for quite some time. How strict is the sizing chart for the container? It says it is for a 150 and a 135, so would a 120 be out of the question? Do I need to get all new gear now?

See if you can borrow a 120 to try it out then see for yourself.

Alternatively, you can look in to options that can overcome the problem of a canopy too small for the tray.

For example, some magnetic dbags take up more volume than regular dbags, so may make a too small canopy better fitting.

I've put an airlocked Samurai 120 in an M3... a normal 9 cell 120 should be kinda soft but probably fine in an M2, especially if you pack it sloppy and/or have a tight or optimally sized reserve in there. Make sure your closing loop is properly sized and not really long too.

Ask someone (who knows what they are looking for) to take a look at it after you pack it if you are uncertain.
