tobyiscool1982 0 #3 January 10, 2015 I've heard of products designed for motorcycle riders but they have a lot of features that I'm not interested in that comes with increased size and battery life, I haven't found any products that offer a simple, small setupWe can't all be smart.... strife 0 #4 January 10, 2015 seems pretty common now in CRW and the Senas are getting used for Wingsuiting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiWgDS_KRxg&feature=youtu.be
aulanov 0 #5 January 10, 2015 Sena SMH10R is small enough to fit in skydiving helmet.
tobyiscool1982 0 #6 January 10, 2015 The sena looks pretty nice, the videos show it working well on ws jumps, I was hoping, and still am that there is a dumbed down version that might have half the specs as well?? Praying for a miracle here!We can't all be smart....
theplummeter 15 #7 January 10, 2015 Our dropzone has a cheap setup in open face helmets for CRW. It works flawlessly unless someone looks straight up and kills the signal.
adamUK 3 #8 January 10, 2015 Does anyone have any experience of the Sena SMH10R before I burn the thick end of 300 bucks on a pair? I'd also like to use these for tunnel coaching.
strife 0 #9 January 10, 2015 pretty sure some of our crw pups are using this one as a basic version http://www.dx.com/p/bt-interphone-handsfree-bluetooth-v2-1-set-for-motorcycle-skiing-helmet-800m-transmission-130019#.VLGttyuUfMI ive got the sena 20s which are little bit smaller than a Contour
tobyiscool1982 0 #10 January 10, 2015 Anyone have any pics of installs? Do you have to be connected to Bluetooth to talk to another person or can they link with other units, I don't want to carry my cell on the plane for it not to work at altitudeWe can't all be smart.... The video above is using the 10R, the Sena also has the bluetooth housing for GoPro so you can record to the video.

I use one on motorcycle all the time. Loving it. Noise cancellation is working really well. And the headset is loud enough even when wearing earplugs. adamUK 3 #13 January 10, 2015 You reckon it'd be possible to mount the entire unit within a G3?

aulanov 0 #15 January 10, 2015 adamUKYou reckon it'd be possible to mount the entire unit within a G3? The main unit is designed to be outside of the helmet, it has buttons on it so putting it inside wouldn't make sense. The battery pack could fit inside one of the audible pockets. But you can also stick it to the outside as it's designed. Speakers may be a problem depending on your head geometry, but Sena also sells a thin version of them: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/sena-smh10r-slim-speakers
strife 0 #16 January 10, 2015 unlikely main unit outside, speakers, mic no problems on the inside this is a 20s and 10s on a G3
tobyiscool1982 0 #17 January 11, 2015 Thanks for the pics, I think I'm gonna go with the low pro version of the 10, sick helmet too!We can't all be smart....
strife 0 #18 January 11, 2015 yeah i was going for range on the 20s I just ordered a set of the low pros to now see how they go, profile looks great.
skytribe 16 #19 January 11, 2015 10R work just great for CRW and wingsuit. The 20 allows more than 5 to be paired but the 10R are smaller units.
skytribe 16 #20 January 11, 2015 For the 10R there is also an adapter cable that allows you to use a standard headphone so you can just use ear bud headphones of your choice rather than the speakers. Its around 6 bucks.
strife 0 #21 January 15, 2015 photo of the 20s and the 10R man the 10R is really low profile
tobyiscool1982 0 #22 January 16, 2015 I ordered the 10r it should be here tomorrow, gonna put it in the bonehead aero, depending on how much room I have to play with i might try putting the battery inside....ill post pics when install is done!We can't all be smart.... strife 0 #23 January 16, 2015 I have just been setting up mine, there is a plastic holder for the battery that can be disconnected that removes some additional bulk and you can place the whole unit in the back of the liner in the G3 via the alti pocket. Put the main headset in the alti pocket and use the wired mike and Vox activation The low profile SMH10R seems like not a bad unit to have hidden away in the helmet. Jumping it tomorrow On the 20s it allows you to connect the fly sight into aux input which the 10R doesnt have but thats small price for the low profile. tobyiscool1982 0 #24 January 17, 2015 Let me know how it goes, the aero won't be here till next week, so I won't get to play with it for some timeWe can't all be smart....
DrDom 0 #25 February 7, 2015 I've used a variety of these for powered paragliding. No reason they wont work fine under a parachute compared to a glider. You are not the contents of your wallet.
