All good packers .. I really need your help >=) .. I am learning how to pack the canopy but the thing is that there are so many versions of it. Does anyone know of any good book, web-site or video that I could find to adopt some safe techniques ???
thanks for all the answers on my prewios questions.

The best way to learn is to find a local packer and buy them a case of their favorite beverage. Then sit down with them and have them show you their packing technique. Afterwards share the case of beverage and you will have a new friend also. :)Best advice find someone at your DZ and just watch them for a few times then start asking questions.
Do I HAVE to do another raft dive??? :)

One thing; Its usually good to start off flat packing because that teaches you more about the canopy than PRO packing. Ask your local packer about both methods. If he can't tell you about flat packing than maybe you should ask someone else. Good luck. Don't give up. Packing really sucks at first but the more you do it the more you will like it.

I agree with Phree. Probably the easiest thing to do is get someone to go over it with you. I'm sure there are many who are willing to do that at your local DZ. After a while, you'll end up getting a lot of advice and different ideas to use on how to pack, as it seems that everyone does it a little different. Then you'll probably do like most of them have, and myself too, come up with your own 'version' of how you like to do it from a combination of several others' ideas.
Merrick and I got the 'Pack Like A Pro' video, but it wasn't as much help to me as actually watching and doing it with someone, step-by-step. I'm more of a hands-on sort of learner..I want to do it as I'm being taught, that way I can also ask questions of anything I don't quite understand.

As a packer Ive watched some of the videos and other instructional things out there. None can really give you the information that a good hands-on session with your local packer can. Ive got a few good tricks to handle slippery canopies but I would be hard pressed to put them into words so you could understand them, but I can certainly show them to you one on one.
Get with your packer there and get some tricks or come on out to Skydive Dallas and see me!.
Good luck
JC
