ChuteRequired 0 #1 September 12, 2014 Has anyone tried a Javelin with and without the Sunpath backpad? Is it worth the added cost? Thanks, Mike
wicodefly 0 #2 September 12, 2014 I have it and my rig is very comfortable. I haven't tried it without but another jumper was just telling me how much he likes his new jav with it as his old one didn't have it. It's nice and thick and soft.Chance favors the prepared mind. Pobrause 6 #4 September 14, 2014 Bought a new j3k without any padding and it felt very comfortable. recently sold it and bought a new RSK1 with the Sunpath Backpad and although the rig itself is still pretty stiff and not worn in it already feels just gorgeous. Love it! on a sidenote it looks pretty rad, too ------------------------------------------------------- To absent friends
firemedic 7 #5 September 14, 2014 I've owned 2 Javs. First one had standard padding. The second one I got the Spacer Foam option. I noticed a big difference especially under canopy. Worth every penny to me.
shift 0 #6 September 16, 2014 spacer foam is standard now too
ChuteRequired 0 #7 September 16, 2014 How different is the spacer foam from the sunpath? Do they also put the sunpath material on the leg straps? Mike
Pobrause 6 #8 September 16, 2014 attached two pics of my javelin for clarification sorry for my paint skills ;) the spacer foam is a free option and would also cover the area where the Sunpath backpad is on my rig right now you can choose between deluxe backpad (normal spacerfoam as shown in the pic) Sunpath backpad (pic) and no spacer foam at all. with both the Sunpath backpad and the spacerfoam backpad your legstraps are comming with spacer foam padding------------------------------------------------------- To absent friends
ChuteRequired 0 #9 September 17, 2014 Hey thanks for the pics!!!! I ordered my new rig yesterday and am already on the edge of my seat waiting for it. I decided to go with the sunpath... Again, thanks for taking the time to post pics. I have to say, that I am amazed by the help and support in the skydiving community. No anywhere near what I would have expected.
